I dunno why people try to run like that once they know a chopper is in the air. You'll never outrun the chopper and you can't really hide from it either.

I watch a lot of high speed pursuits, in Los Angeles it is the original reality tv. A few have escaped, usually caught hours or days later but it happens.

I think it's less of a logical decision and more a flight or fight response. That or they want to have some fun before checking into the graystone hotel.

What a pathetic attempt. It looked like he just laid down to die there under that tree. Did he really think he could hide?

Lesson of the Day: If you get out of your truck to move the spike strip, don't just toss it out the way. Spend 5 more seconds and set it up behind you so the cop chasing you has to get out of his car to move it and you don't lose your lead. Kinda like running away from a killer in horror movies. Every door you run through, close the damn door behind you.

EXACTLY! I couldn't figure out how they got spike strips on that road in the middle of nowhere. It was so weird to me. There didn't appear to be any cops in front of them either.

Haha! This is great. I agree with @Iron Man, he shoulda aired down, and with @joonbug, he shoulda reset the spike strips. And that still frame close-up of the truck: looks to me like he coulda approached that rocky bit near that bush at a different angle, negotiated a turn and gone back up the other side of that ravine.... :burnrubber: Shouldn’t’a had to stop ‘til he ran out of gas. :notsure:

I wish running from the cops was just a single moving violation ticket and not go straight to jail. I'd like to try it sometime. :D I really can't see them catching me once I get on dirt. :cookiemonster:
