I have a 2007 Tundra 4wd SR5. 5.7L ENGINE. I replaced the starter last year after a sudden failure. Disconnected the battery, replaced the starter, hooked the battery back up....and now my interior lights do not work at all. Cargo light works, daah lights all work, but no other interior lights work. Have checked the shunt and all the fuses. Cant find any issues there. Can anyone help here? Anyone else encountered this problem??? I havent pulled the bulbs yet (because frankly i havent figured out now to remove them without destroying them). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Have to start with the easy and obvious. To the left of the steering wheel just above your knee is a switch that will keep these lights off. I hit it all the time when doing things in the cab.

Are all the lights on the same fuse?

I love this site! I thought I had all my interior light issues solved then I open the door this morning and all the overhead lights are dark. I said WTF! And grumbled all the way to work. Just saw your post and did the V8 palm slap to the forehead! Sure enough, the switch was in the OFF position - must have hit it when I got out last night. D'oh!
Interestingly, the dash switch does NOT control the light under the dash which illuminates the floor.

    Thanks, Wynnded!

I cant remember if all the interior lights are on the same fuse or not, but i think they are. And i think i checked that switch by thecstewring column but it wasnt the problem either. As another membr said, it doesnt control the bulb that illuminates the floorboard and that bulb is out too.

Well i have gone through once again and checked EVERY fuse i can find on this truck related to the interior lights and i cant find a single blown fuse. Tried the switch by yhe steering column, and thats on where it should be, no change=no interior lights at all. Is it even possible that i blew every single interior light bulb when i hooked the battery back up after the starter replacement? I mean, my dash lights all work but none of the other interior lights work. The cargo light works as well. Come on folks....any ideas?

Oh, and one other strange anomaly that occured at the same time.....my clock will NOT keep time now. When i shut the truck off and restart it a few minutes later, it resets to 01:00 every time. Might be a coincidence but it might not. It didnt do this before i replaced the starter.

Did you turn around the lights? Sometimes the can be put in wrong? That happened to me. A few were wrong so I twisted them ans they work now, expect the foot panel one. I took that one out to replace it but I can't get the new one in..

I just happen to have a set of 2007 Tundra shop manuals. I looked at the section on lighting and took a few pics (below) which might give you some clues. One thing they discuss is the Main Body ECU. There are additional sections in the manual on troubleshooting and testing specs for the Main Body ECU. Is it possible it got (partially) fried when the starter was replaced?
BTW, If you're interested in the complete set of manuals, I've been trying to find something to do with them since my old truck was totaled (I'm driving a '16 now). The set consists of 6 columes each of which weighs about 5.5 lbs. I'm located in Texas near Houston. Depending on where you're located, I'd be willing to ship them to you (probably by ground freight) if the cost isn't too ridiculous. Just PM me if you're interested.

Did you ever figure out what it was? I’m having the same problems. They both work in the on position, but don’t in the door positions.

Any update? Mine are all off. Checked the “off-door-on” rocket and have tried ever setting, still nothing.

Anyone have any insight to this issue? I have the same issue and can't figure it out. I even bought a new "off-door-on" rocker switch and nothing changed.

Have you checked the 7.5amp fuses under the hood. Mine did the same thing and it was one of them that blew. I have to do some more diag. To find the reason for the blown fuse. I am on 3rd fuse now. Will update when I find the cause.

Was this issue ever figured out? My truck is doing the same thing after trouble with a dome LED bulb. The light began to flicker before they went out.

After I installed the new rocker switch and still didn't fix the issue, I rechecked the interior light fuse under the hood. I had tested it before and passed but this time I actually pulled it out to visually inspect it and sure enough, it was blown but barely still connected that's why it showed up as still good with my fuse tester.
