I'm looking for the clip that holds the rod into place so that my tailgate will open. Does anyone know the best place to buy the part? Thanks for any help.

The picture ablove shows the correct part that is not broken. The other rod has the broken clip.

Bad part about this is that Toyota does not sell the clip by itself, and only sells it with the lock, which is $40-45 just depending on the year and which model Tundra you have (stepside or not).

I just replaced my tailgate handle cause it snapped on me the other day. It's $20 off eBay and shipped to me in 2 days. It comes with new clips.

Hands down so far one of best things ive done to the truck. Since I bought it in February the thing has been a pain sometimes to open so while I had it apart I greased everything up and mixed in with that new handle my tailgate now opens like hot knife through butter

Yeah, my clips were broken and i had them zip tied to the linkage rod, but when the plastic handle broke off it was time for the whole assembly. Cheap fix with good results. Cheers.
