Anyone watching the Players Championship. I was fortunate and lucky to play there. Unfortunately it wasn't the Saw Grass course but It's sister course. Pete Dye design , and it was a M-FR . Was able to drive over to the Island 17th hole looks a lot different in person. Hit'em Straight

Well I made back alive from my golf vacation down in Myrtle Beach. Liver took a beating. We played the Mystical package, Witch, Wizard, and Man O War. Great golf courses. The pics with the alligator was at the Witch along with the buzzards or whatever the hell they were. Someone said they were Turkey's. Salute

Bandon is awesome. My buddy and I took a trip down there when I lived in PDX. It's like a golf playground.

I try and play as much as I can - Torrey Pines is my home course and where I play the most.

Just played yesterday at a little-known track about 2 hours East of San Diego - Rams Hill. Great course, always kept up well, super friendly staff, and to get there from SD you drive out through Anza-Borrego - a beautiful desert part with off-road/camping opportunities.

Not my picture but you get the idea.

:D I kid I kid. I was ok there for a while but that was 20 years and a back injury ago. Haven't picked up the sticks since I've healed.

The wife and I shoot competitive rifle matches now for fun (hence, the silly pic) but at least once a match one of us will look at the other and ask "Why didn't we take up golf?"

I do think the shooting will morph into golfing though eventually. Probably when we get fed up with strapping on those stupid heavy shooting coats in 110deg weather, or scraping the cowpies from our firing points...

I have built myself an elevated practice tee, and after a few solid hits into the net I realized additional physical therapy is needed on my left arm. (the last two fingers on my left hand let go of the club at impact) ... The PT seems to be working, and I think I'll be able to play again later this year.

Got together with some friends for golf and some beer . A few pics of the courses. 1st course was nice as far a views, but like playing in a cow pasture :eek2:. 2nd course was Packsaddle Ridge. Awesome mountain course with great views and plenty of wildlife.

Beautiful! Looks like a blast to play. We don’t get much elevation here, so our courses are pretty flat.

Can't find many pics due to, like others above mentioned, life happens. But before kids, played a lot as a younger person. Have played: Westfield CC, Wooster CC, Firestone CC (all except North), Canterbury CC (pic of one of their par 5's attached) and even a Jr. Am tournament at Muirfield CC (to name a few). Made the turn at that tournament at two over then took a 10 on 11th... So much for placing, but it was still a good/beautiful round.

Golf is a great GAME. The minute you start throwing clubs and breaking stuff you might as well go get beers and drink your greens fees, because it isn't worth all that.

We were a big golf family thanks to granddad and my brother. Saw my grandfather and Dad both knock in a hole in one (and my dad is not a good golfer!) in my lifetime and had two of my own. The memory of my grandfather's hole in one will be with me for life even though he no longer is (loved playing him stroke play for a Snickers bar). That memory of him is one of my finest.

I play about 40-50 rounds a year, have a golf trip planned in Sept and Nov this year. Play in a work league spring and fall. Been to the Augusta a few times for the tournament and practice rounds. About a 12 handicap. Hoping to retire in 10 years and play until I drop dead on the course. They can bury me in my Tundra. :D

    Wow those are pretty! Details?

I'm a once a week golfer, at least hitting the range. If I know I'm playing Sat/Sun I hit the range two days before. All in prep to beat my dad and his buddies on the few times a year I go back to FL. Damn retirees and their 3 times a week schedule!

Headed down there in two weeks, playing Copperhead at Innisbrook.
