Might be considered a waste of $ but the Trd cai and Trd duals work well together.

I tested the sabm intake definitely not a waste of money. Lots of people get info from other people saying our intake is already cai this is true but not perfect. Toyota had to make it within HVS testing and emissions stand point. But right now i have the s&b intake best intake for the money with the bullydog tune..

    See build thread below.
I bought the AFe drop in dry filter but it’s not fitting my stock air box. Guess I’ll call AFE and see if i can return it.

Buy a toyota air accelerator and a drop in filter. The CAI are a waste of money and the SABM has been proven to do nothing but butcher your truck.

Not true i have sabm and it was definitely noticeable in mid range and upper rpms for sure. Help me towing, it was a bigger difference than the trd accelerator and drop in filter combine.

With all due respect I think your butt dyno may be a little off, I have personally seen a stock Tundra and SABM Tundra on a dyno and there is ZERO difference! Now, if you add a bunch of supporting mods then there may be a benefit.

Opinions will vary on this subject just like tuners and everything else with tundras. When i put the sabm on it was totally stock and i did notice a bump in torque at mid range to higher rpms. G-tek sells the kit and dyno it and gains 5-6hp peak. Now below the curve matters more but i didn't see the dyno chart but im gussing it did gain torque at around 3500rpm. Yes it did make the intake louder and meaner. I totally agreed keep stock intake. Any aftermarket intake will lose low end torque iv tested them and lost low end with no gain at top.

But right now i do have supporting mods for the truck mods: high flow filter, sabm, trd flow accelerator, throttle body coolant bypass if that does anything lol, bamuffler system 6in, bullydog on trail tune with 93 octane, doug throley shorty headers.

There you go, I definitely can see an increase with those supporting mods!

Yes everything works together for sure. But in about 5 months from now im going to do arh or jba longtube headers with bamuffler full 3in dual exhaust. And going to sell the shorties and bamuffler exhaust.

Google it or look back at post #17. Another pic on #31. Adds another duct or conduit for air to the intake filter.

Based on dyno results, cold air intakes do nothing. Put your money into a performance exhaust

    Not nearly enough room here!
After researching/looking/shopping I decided on a TRD CAI for my 2010. Already have a 10"BA Exhaust and IPT Valve Body/Shift Kit. I expected just what I got. Underhood appearance and a little different sound.Resized_20190717_175425[6917].jpg Resized_20190717_175452[6923].jpg

Toyota cold air intake with drop in AFE Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S Air Filter.

I already had a DAP tune and BAMuffler cat-back installed, so I did notice a nice increase in throttle response by adding the AFE filter. I don't believe I would have notice a difference if I didn't have a free flowing exhaust.

I believe the top is larger than stock so may not exactly line up. I had that thought too before I went with the AFE super stock system.
