Man, that is a kick in the gut. Hope it works out for him. It’s not like it’s a building built over 100 years ago. I understand not wanting a huge apartment building built but that’s just the way things go. It shouldn’t hurt the owner trying to sell.

 

If it were mine I’d burn it down to spite the community and collect my insurance money

 

He should close his business and allow the building to fall in a state of disrepair. After a while neighborhood activists will begin to clamor for its demolition.

 

I was thinking convert to an Adult Novelty/Book store or better yet a Gentlemens Club to help young Coeds work their way thru College .

 

if the historic preservationists is so concerned about the restaurant then they should pay the owner $4.8 million and let him retire and operate the restaurant themselves.
