    Hello!

Recently traded in our 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport with Leer 100XL canopy with all the features (Thule rack, slider, carpetted roof, and roof cargo net), but the extras don't add to the trade in value, so sold the canopy to a young guy out of the Air Force for a good price, all for an amazing 2019 Tundra CrewMax SR5... After much research and thought, I just spent the equivalent to my first daughters college tuition on a DiamondBack HD, and Toyota bed mat, and I'm getting the bed sprayed with Linex tomorrow... I'm so excite my wife and our to little girls (4 & 2), have so much more room, and power to tow our small travel trailer... Thanks to everyone for all the feedback, opinions, and contributions about modifications, especially on the DiamondBack Covers... I was considering any cover (Bak, UnderCover, Rugged, etc), and narrowed it down to...

    Rugged Cover 2
    - Cheap
    - Secure
    - Concerning Reviews that focused on Leaking.

    UnderCover RidgeLander
    - Secure
    - Rack System
    - Easy mount/dismount
    - Concerning Reviews that focused on Leaking, and Intrusion.

    Diamond Back SE or HD
    - Very Secure
    - Ability to customize with racks.
    - Easy mount/dismount
    - Extra money for quality, durability, and longevity.

Chose the DiamondBack HD, because spending the extra $400 seemed worth it for 4x the weight capacity, and future growth, never know if I'll have to carry a 4Wheeler, pallet of tile, or take a direct hit from a military grade bunker buster...

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hey OR18TRD,

I ran across your post awhile back about Linex overspray behind the bed in between the cab and bed, but never heard a resolution to your issue. Guess who just experienced the same performance..... Did the rubbing alcohol work? I've called the shop, and they want me to bring it back to them, so they can try to resolve the issue, but sure seemed that they weren't promising anything, and unfortunately would require me to drive 1.5 hours back to their shop. I work with another Tundra lover and has a strong automotive background, and he says to truly fix the problem would require to temporarily remove the bed, and recommend taking it to a auto body shop and send Linex the bill... See picture, tough to see because I took the pics after the sun set and the flash didn't help, but it just looks dirty behind the bed, peppered by Linex. I've researched clay bar, and have seen other forums say Armor All works. Am I obsessing since its brand new, am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? I maybe the only one that notices, but it kinda bugs me... Any advice would be greatly appreciated... On a good note, my DiamondBack HD will be delivered tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any replies.
