Not sure what this is called so we will say window trim. It was cracking and the chrome underneath was showing. I attempted to remove the remainder however I couldn’t. I ended up covering it with plastidip as a quick fix. Does anyone know how to remove it and replace it? Is there some place I can take this to and get it done?3C65F2F2-0197-4C88-B999-73E57DDE69D8.jpg938BE076-858F-4792-A813-338D7EF6CD82.jpg

It’s called the belt molding. You can get a new one from Toyota for a reasonable price usually.
30-50 bucks typically, I haven’t looked up tundra ones

Tape it off. Sand it down. Spray 4-5 coats of big box bed liner on it. Cost $8.

He moldings just snap out. I removed the door panel to get a better look at the release tabs. You also need to loosen the 3 bolts for the side mirror to remove and insert the new molding. Here’s a useful how to video for removing the door panel:

If it’s just the outside, you don’t need to remove the door panels. Just pull up on them. They come right off. They generally break though.

The moldings had to pull out(giggity). It was also tucked under the side mirror. 2nd gen might be different but this is how I did it on my 1st gen.

Didn’t realize it was first gen. My Gen 2 and Sequoia didn’t have that issue. They broke, and I just had to make sure none fell inside the door.
