Hello, I have seen the DIY wireless charger mod that some people have done and I am interested so I did some looking and have found the SCOSCHE TAQ03 MagicMount Charge 2014 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. I am curious if anyone has installed one of these and how it works for them. Any information would be much appreciated.

Well my statement stands. Do a search for the other one. There was a thread about it. If it’s the same thing, then yes there are others with it.

I have one in my 2019 1794. Yes you will lose cup holder and its better than the armrest version from Toyota. I've had issues with heat on the armrest version. glad i didnt take the Scosche version out.

Just got mine in today, haven't had any luck finding install directions just yet. If you have any let me know please. I'm going to keep looking. Thanks!

Just found some not so great instructions from the manufacturer site.

I just picked up one of these and during the install figured out that the power cable is bad so now I wait for a replacement.

Is there a write up on this install anywhere? My truck has this unit, but it has no power. I am probably going to have to pull the console apart and follow the wires...

Thanks! Looks like I should be able to just use a trim tool to pop up the shielding around the front area, which should expose the wiring harness for verification that it iss correctly connected.

Old post, but the wire harness that came with it doesn’t match my oem. Before I go digging or splicing, anyone else run into this problem?

It doesn't plug into that harness. You have to unplug the wiring from the back of the power port (bottom middle of your pics) and then plug into the back of that. Then plug the wiring off the back of that power port into the other plug on the harness.

Glad to help! Just installed mine yesterday so it was fresh in my mind. I haven't used the little double sided adhesive squares to attach the plastic charging platform to the console yet...curious to hear how that goes on yours and if you have any pointers there.

Yea, it was too simple for my own good and I was way overthinking it.
I’ll finish it a bit later and let you know if I find anything helpful on the tape/moving issues.

I just recently purchased this and put it in my 2020 Tundra and was easy to install. I drilled a small 1/2 hole in the top left corner of the side of the base it sits on and ran the wire through that. Cant really see the hole and if I were to take this out, it leaves a small inconspicuous hole that you really don't notice. This works better that the OEM console charger I also recently put in and disappointed with since it keeps getting hot and stops charging my phones. Not to mention my phone slides around and it constantly disconnects anyway. Not to mention it was only $29.99.
