i thought about it but i think 4.88 brings it close to stock i just don't want the truck reving out on the freeway. if i got 4.56 it would actually be a little closer to stock but 4.88 will give it a little more power i think... do you have 5.29?

Right now they just came out and lots of people who run 35" go with 5.29. Because why spend all that money to go back to stock. You can get alttile more off the line and probably be better on gas because to go completely back to stock and counting the weight of the tires it would be around 5.13 gear not 4.88. Because people dont understand how gearing works. With our vvit 5.7 steeper gears like 4.88 and 5.29 gains mpg on hwy and alot more on city even if you rev higher in hwy than stock. You will get better mpg because our trucks adapt to anything. So 35" go with 5.29 you will not regret it.

That does make sense i'll have to look more into it. if I'm gonna spend the money might as well get something thats better then stock. One thing i've noticed for sure is that even having the stock 4.30 with 35s my RPMs are lower on the highway but my gas milage is a lot worse. Ive also noticed if i drive my truck a little harder i get better gas milage as weird as that sounds. but ill definitely look into a 5.29. Thanks for all your help!

5.29 gears with 35" tires equals better gas mileage, better for your transmission and alot more fun to drive talk with dirty deeds.

You'll get several different opinions on this topic, no matter who you ask. 35s to me is that in between size that you can either stay stock or regear. I'm on 37s and I have 5.29s and Auburn pro in the garage just waiting to find an installer now..... best of luck no matter what you decide!

Thank you just trying to do research till probably won’t happen for another 3 years or so. I just lifted & got tires. So trying to understand and learn what my options could or would be.

I'm stock gears 6" lift and 22x12s on 35s I still pull my camper no problem. Recent bought a bullydog tuner for pulling others here say o should feel a big difference in power while towing. Idk i do think re gearing is still in my future as well.
