Hi all, new here. I am wanting to switch my X Series grille to get rid of all the chrome. Either the TRD Sport or Pro. (prefer Pro) Concerned about the sensor issue that may happen? Anyone experienced having trouble changing the grille and causing any problems the with function of the sensor? If I chose the Sport grille would it be easier since the emblem is the same on the grille or is the Pro grille an easy switch? I have been looking at this site for the parts:

    Any suggestions/thoughts?

You shouldn’t have a problem with the sensor, it’s been done many times around here.
You just need to figure out witch one you want. I personally like the new PRO grille better.

I do too, obviously more expensive but looks so good. Just want to make sure it won't make anything more complicated with this sensor thing. Does anyone know of a you tube video that shows the switch out? I have not found one.

Super easy, the only issue with the pro grill is the garnish piece price. I switched my sensor over and grill swap in under 15 minutes... has worked like a champ for 1,300 miles

So another question is... if I choose the Sport grille, I can't find a 2019 and the 2018 seems to have the old emblem, does this work with the new sensor?

The sensor will work with the 2018 Pro grill but you will need a relocation bracket. A company called Jomax sells them. https://jomaxcustoms.com/new-gallery
