that sucks....where did you order from if you don't mind my asking? Other than the shipping damage, did it seem like a quality product when you saw it in person?

Adventure Ready in Seattle Washington. The product appeared to be quality just couldn't stand up to UPS forklifts.

That’s a big question for me too, especially for the price difference. And what does that sucker weigh?

Looks nice but at that price point you can buy 7 camper shell on craig's list. $500 seems to be the sweet spot as far as used fiberglass caps go

they mention some of the advantages over fiberglass tops here:
    https://expeditionportal.com/the-coolest-products-you-missed-at-overland-expo-west-2019/

I like the added strength, lighter weight, no contact with paint, positive vent chamber, flush furnlock latches etc., but I'm not so sure about the tiny slider windows, lack of 3rd brake light, and if the back door can be closed and locked from inside. I'm still researching to decide if I want to take the plunge.

I don't really see the benefits. That review talks about sun rot and heavy weight for fiberglass shells. Those aren't exactly true.

    Stainless steel can still rust.

700 pound dynamic load rating is nice, but who is putting that much weight that high up? That would kill handling.

Plus, are the bed sides really designed to support almost 1000 pounds?

To me, this design is over engineered for a problem that doesn't exist.
