Finally received my new scope today. The rifle it is intended for should be finished being built this week. But I couldn’t wait so I threw it on the Dasher. Which is for sale BTW ;)

Man 32x is some serious magnification. I bet its dark at max power. How does it look? Like it? Does NF still use super fine reticles?

No sir. It’s very clear. Quite a step up from NXS models but not quite an atacr glass wise. But the price reflects the last part. Honestly wouldn’t even be noticeable to the average joe.

NF has a lot of reticles both SFP and FFP. I would say if you thought it was fine you are probably referring to the FFP models. And yes they are pretty fine but are designed to be larger on higher magnification.

I sold my Tangent Theta to buy this scope. That’s pretty much sums up how much I like this scope

    Dude that's a sick group. 3 rounds?

I've owned 3 NFs, all NXS SFP, have just 2 now. The 3.5-15 is on the first tactical rifle I owned. Don't like the super fine retical though. Too hard to see in the trees.

I understand the reticle issue. The moar is good for hunting but the moar-t is too fine. Great for steel though. That Group is 3 I believe. Below are some more groups. The first two pictures are 5 shots. I was fireforming brass and thought I was off paper until the 3rd bullet opened up the group. That’s when I knew I had a shooter. The 3rd picture is 6rds shot by my buddy immediately after to confirm. These were from a 15x Tangent theta in 20mph wind

    Keep looking. There’s 5 holes!

That rifle is a 22 Dasher built on a Bighorn TL3, brux barrel, and manners stock. I shoot it regularly at 600yds but after that it’s almost impossible to spot hits by myself. If you reload I would recommend 6.5x47L. I’ve shot the Lapua for about 5 years. If you don’t as much as I hate to recommend it I would go with 6.5 or 6 creedmoor. A 20lb gun helps too :D

Shoot a 6.5, have a few of them. Been looking at the 6.5 PRC. and of course the Creedmoor. Have plenty of friends that shoot the Creed already.

What do you shoot? I waiting on bighorn to come out with a medium action and really want a 6.5saum but I think I’m gonna just do a 7 saum or 7SS. I’ve talked to them about a .585 bolt face for a 300 Norma Improved but it’s not in the plans any time soon

Norma and Grendel. My problem anymore is I don’t like to feel beat up after shooting.:) and now due to closure and private/wait for ever lists I have to drive 2 1/2 hrs to shoot at any distance. 100 yards is plain boring and only good for thermal and run some ammo to keep everything working.

You need something to fill the gap! 750 is max for the Grendel and 1500 is minimum for the Norma! Haha

I can get the Grendel further but run out of scope and having bullets come from above instead of a straight line is two different things. I could get a 20 MOA and be good for both but the PRC has caught my eye for some reason. Maybe it’s wishful thinking and I should be and stay happy with what I have:).

I started this addiction with the Grendel. I finally got fed up with fighting the wind with 123gr bullets. The prc will be awesome. Put a deposit down with your smith when you get the barrel. You’ll need a spot soon haha

I just had my second chamber put on the 3rd barrel of my 243. I get 3 chambers per barrel and around 1100 rounds per chamber. It's not new and glamorous as a 6cm but I see no reason to change unless barrel life is better. I get over 3000fps with a 115gr DTAC. wind holds are half those of the 308. Drop at 1000 yards is only 28moa from a 100 yard zero. Compare that to 48moa for the 308. Im content.

Ran a .243 running dtacs when I first started then ran 105 hybrids out of it before going on my caliber rabbit hole, hitting a shit ton of different things along the way. 6 creed/6.5creed/6.5x47/ and currently running a straight 6br. Love it but will probably have the new barrel chambered in BRA for just a tad more horsepower. And yes the 6 creed will generally run longer than a straight .243 but no denying that the .243 just works, if you dont mind the barrel burning a little faster (obviously if you're trying to max the speed witha heavy)

Oh, and MOA???? Eeeewww what is this the stone age???:rofl::rofl:
Just kidding homie, run that shit and fling those dtacs, strong combo :fistbump:

@jordan0317 it was the tt315m off my little 22 Dasher. Great scope but needed higher magnification without weighing 4lbs.

You guys bring your long guns next time you are in DFW and we will head over to Triple C Range. It's public with steel every 100 yards to 2000.
