I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and ask a few questions as I look to sell my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and purchase a [new] 2018 Tundra SR5 TRD Off-Road. The primary reason is the Tacoma wasn’t sufficient for newer demands; a camper, bikes, kayaks, and gear.

As I look to purchase a new 2018 I’m wondering:
    • What would someone expect to pay on a 2018 Tundra SR5 with the SR5 Upgrade and TRD Off-Road packages?
    • If the $3,500 credit in my area for 2019 Tundras can be applied to a 2018?
I did read the thread/post about walking in with a 13% off MSRP demand and working from there, curious if that would be more like 15-16% given it’s a 2019. When someone eventually asks why I’m looking at a 2018 rather than a 2019 it’s because I’m hoping to see a cost savings. :)

Update: I got the 2018 Tundra SR5 TRD Off-Road, paid $37,150 including discount and incentives with a trade value of $30,500 for my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. While the dealership experience was horrific, I’m very happy with the purchase.

The TRD package is no more capable than a stock SR5 offroad. Unless they're going to give it to you for free, save the money and buy your own shocks and some better tires. You'll save money and get better equipment.

My thoughts precisely when I read what it included, a bit (read a lot) different than the Taco which had some neat technology that came along with it.
