I am aware that there are countless threads with spacer/offset arguments and opinions. After searching for an hour I can't find my specific issue so here goes...

I just picked up my 2010 Tundra today from the shop after having brand new Mammoth 838 XD wheels and Toyo Open Country tires put on. I have Bushwacker Fender Flares so I wanted all four tires to come out 1 inch from those. I went with +18 and the fronts are perfect. The rears however are directly in line with the edge of the fender flares. Ugh. I think the aggressive stance is most impressive from the rear. And my rear is lacking. I was told I could not order front and rear wheels w/ diff offsets. I'm guessing at this point my only option is to go with spacers for the rear. I'm confused on the spacers and/or adapters. Is it one or the other or are these sold in tandem? I am not an off-roader, just a poser concrete king. So my main question is will putting spacers only on the rears greatly affect the handling of the truck and/or wear down the wheels faster then normal? I find it incredibly lame to spend the type of money on wheels i just did and still not have the offset in the rear that I wanted. Im thinking 1" spacers, but def not more than 1.25"
Please insert your expertises here. Thanks guys.

You may have to trim your lugs for 1" spacers unless there's a hollowed out are in the back of the wheel.
Looks like you went with 20" wheels and maybe a narrow-ish tire.
I don't think there's any reason why you can't run spacers in the rear only. Currently my front (a lot of LT trucks are) is 2.5" wider ea. side than the rear.

Sounds like you either have two different size flares or two different rims, my front and rear stick out the same

As far as running spacers very common on solid axle swaps on mini trucks with the bigger v6 rear end that people run spacers on just the front. No idea if you would have to change the lugs. Did you changed your front end track width or is it still stock ?

I should have stated I have Maxtrac spindles on the fronts, but I thought this would only affect height, not offset

Well I can’t help you with your problem or give solid advice.... but I find it total BS the shop would not let you buy different offset for the rear?

How or why could you not be allowed to do so? It’s your money.

Maxtrac 6 inch lift spindles?...those increase your track 1 inch...so your tires stick out 0.50 inch more on each side.

Go with a 1.25 Spidertrax spacer for the rear wheel. That is what I have on my 2014 Tacoma with the Maxtrac Spindle and its great!
