My lease has 5 months left on my Titan. Been working with a few dealers to see what kind of pricing is out there on a black on black limited or platinum crewmax. So far I've gotten to $43K plus tax and title on a limited ($51K msrp) and $46K on a platinum ($53.7K). A couple dealers actually want my Titan now, which I'm surprised since the residual is a lot higher than KBB. I don't have an issue waiting until November or so when the lease is up but just thinking what deals may be coming down the road. How good is Toyota truck month? And isn't August the release of the 2020s?

August is release of the 2020's. I would look at 19's, You're really not getting anything new on the 20's as opposed to the 19's. You're best bet is to wait til the last week August to start dealing. Nobody wants a truck to have birthday on their lot. That's when I made my best deal. 2018 1794 ed. 46k out the door.

The best you can do is about 11.7% off MSRP plus the rebate of $3,000 (in WI) plus tax, title and doc fee.
Anything worse than this and your trade is dragging you down, give it back to Nissan Financial.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm happy enough to drop off the keys and turn it back in. Sales must be really bad if they are actually trying to take it on trade. I wouldn't as a business decision.

The numbers you got are just about the same as the ones I got on those two models back in April. I purchased the limited for just under 43k.

Here is where I am at currently with the $3,000 incentive. I am holding out for them to switch to 18 inch wheels instead of the 20. This is a 2019 CrewCab Limited in Cement.

    Email from dealer.....

I have some GREAT news for you. After taking a look at the numbers, we are willing to actually lose money on this deal to show you why we were voted #1 in Customer Sales Satisfaction for all of PA last year. My manager is willing to take another $2,400 off which brings it down to $42,100 plus tax & tags!

That's pretty good. So far I may have to wait until my lease is 30 days out from being done before I can get aggressive.

FYI, here is a play; just buy the Toyota now.
    1. The $3,000 rebate is not likely to get any better.
    2. You already got 11.7% off, that does not get any better.
    3. Inventory is almost gone as 2020's are coming soon, don't miss out on on the truck/options you like.
    4. Call your insurance company. My experience (Liberty mutual), allows for a 30 day overlap to have two vehicles covered during lease transition with no increase to policy. They know you cant drive'em both at once.

Damn, looks like I may have to wait. Ran the NADA and KKB numbers on my 17 Titan. Wow do they lose value quick. Lease buyout today is 34K, one dealer maxed at 30K, the other 31K. KBB and NADA is 28-31K, November-December residual turn in is $32,500 Had 2 dealers say we can just tack on the difference to the Tundra. That's a no from me, I'll just drop the keys off when the lease is done.

I am considering a Platinum, MSRP $52,943, for $37, 585, before tax, title and fees. In cludes $3,000 rebate and $9,000 for my 09 Tundra DC 4 x 2 V6.

Disclaimer I’m not a lease expert. With that being said I did just trade in my 15 Tundra for a 19 Platinum. I leased it. First time ever and I wasn’t really ever thinking about doing that.

Anyway, first question what is private party sale value? What if you put on CL or whatever and tried to sell it for a couple weeks.

Next is it looks like if you want out you are going to loose 3-4g from your buyout. I understand it’s not an ideal situation but wouldn’t it seem to make sense to do that when there are 3-4g in rebates. If you wait past this month you may loose those incentives and be even further upside down.

Carplay would be cool. I have keyless now, it is nice leaving your key in your pocket. I would like to see remote start with climate control and 360 cameras.

Don't know if I can take that hit, if I wait till November ,I can walk in drop the keys and walk out. I think that is Toyota truck month also. I have feelers out at 6 or so dealers, so 1 may break.

Private party is $33K. Anyone wanna buy a nice 2017 Nissan Pro-4X? LOL....

Totally agree. Our sienna has keyless and I still can’t believe a limited trim tundra in 2019 still uses a ghetto ass key. Oh well. The CarPlay thing can be rectified with an aftermarket deck. The keyless not so much

Oh I get that. Nobody ever wants to take a hit. Hopefully it works out for you.

Also I can't believe how many people are seriously pissed that keyless isn't a thing yet. Ok it may be in 2020 but if I had the choice to pick from basically 2 identical trucks one a model year older and one that had keyless and apple car play and the older one was say 6 or 7 thousand dollars cheaper.....well I'm buying the better deal. Swap in the head unit for a far better aftermarket one and solve two problems(shitty ass signal output and the apple car play) and just keep using a key....its worked this long.

Quick update. Went to another dealer last night. They wanted to look at my Titan. As far as numbers go... Full buyout and payoff for the Titan. 2019 Platinum on lot. $53,914. Discounted to $49,900, then $3000 rebate. So $46,900 plus tax and title. I think there's more room to go. I would like them to toss in a sprayed bedliner, TRD Exhaust and possible remote start.

No Kidding. I listed my 2015 SR5 CM and with 91k miles and it sold in less than a week for $28,200 on CL. Im going to pick up a first gen crew cab to drive for the next 2 years so I can save for the new tundra.

Yea, didn't think I'd take that much of a hit since it's pretty well loaded. But I have a dealer wanting it and wanting to get rid of a Platinum. Just waiting on a phone call to see if they accept my offer.

Just pinged a local dealer for a price on a Limited 2019 Crewmax. MSRP $49,832, with rebate and discounts $41,929 as a first offer. I wasn't really looking to trade my '18, just thought I would check and see how deep they would start off cutting in the interest of this thread.

Last month, was able to get a great price on a new Highlander for my wife and take advantage of the 0% money in the last hours of the last day of the month of June. I wonder if November they would drop even more, as that is when I bought mine last year.

You can start the truck with your phone on the 2020 tundra.

The entune 3.0 coming to the 2020 is the bees knees. You'd be selling yourself short buying the 2019.
