Agreed! Im so tired of replacing axle bearings due to the sand getting in everything. I try to avoid mud now. My dream is to take a vacation to Utah and go do some slow technical stuff. Wouldn't mind doing some trail riding as well through some mountains somewhere when there is no snow.

I know its beautiful out there, but which way does Colorado vote? Lol. I don't agree with ever single thing that conservatives usually agree with, but the majority I do. I work about an average of 120 hours a week (oilfield) and it still pisses me off that the mother of my child gets 45k a year from the government in free services, home and medical care. And thats not counting the child support she gets either. She is lazy as hell and white trash. People get 45k a year to sit around is total BS to me. She has not worked since she was 21 years old, she is not disabled, handicapped or anything like that. She is 33 now. Just lazy and doesnt like to work. Liberals do not discourage this behavior and therefore I can't get behind them. I know lots of liberals work, but that alone is not enough. They need to light a fire under peoples butts like her and stop giving them a free ride. Ill get off my soap box now.

I found a great deal from 4WParts.com on a Smitty X2O Gen 3 10K Synthetic $428 no sales tax and pick up locally ... until I called and found out they have 600 units on backorder. Guy said his next shipment in next month is 300 units!...LOL Spent another $50 to get one in stock on Amazon that I will have by Wednesday.

Question on battery amperage... The factory battery in my 2019 is 710 CCA. the winch requirements are 650 CCA. Do I need to move up in CCA? Or maybe do a dual battery setup? I like to drive in West Texas and there is nothing like AAA out there...

Whats funny is the link I previously posted earlier in this thread about Engo Winches has the Engo 10,000 lb winch with synthetic line for $413 shipped currently, and in stock. Plus if you look around you can probably find a 10% off coupon making it under $400 shipped. I would put Engo well above Smittybilt in quality. My 9k Engo is about 7 years old and never had a problem and Ive used it hundreds of times, including pulling out full size tractors buried to the frame. It also has a lifetime warranty on all the mechanical parts (drum, gears, spool, brake, levers, frame, steel line, etc). They also keep parts in stock so if you do need a part, they can ship it to you immediately. I would be interested to know how fast you could get a part from smittybilt.

From post #14, my replacement part arrived within a few days. I can't remember how many exactly but I was surprised that it arrived so quickly.

Ok, so they keep parts on hand. They still asked how long ago you purchased it because clearly there is a time limit on when they would not replace it. Engo won't ask that because it has a lifetime warranty. And its cheaper than Smittybilt. The Engo was also only one of two winches to survive this winch torture test: http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/129-1107-massive-multi-winch-shootout/

*** they discovered the warn had broke at the end of the testing, so although it survived through the last test, it no longer function properly once done.***

Just to be clear, I am not saying smittybilt is bad. I just purchased the Engo because it appeared to be tough as nails, plus cheap, plus best warranty. I can tell you now, 7 years later, I abused my winch well beyond what most people do to their winches. Ive maxed it out many times until it just stopped pulling. Ive ran it for well pass the duty cycle time (probably easily 10 minutes of winching straight). Ive submerged it in water at least a dozen times including driving around in hurricane Harvey in Houston for 5 days with water up to my hood. It has never gave me a single issue. I don't clean it, I don't maintain it. It just keeps going.

Well... the Amazon dude tossed my new 70# winch over my 5' driveway security gate this morning after I left the house. I wish I would have caught him. How big of an idiot do you have to be to realize that wasn't a good plan? LOL I haven't even opened the box yet... taking pictures first.

Thats crazy. I am assuming you have him on video? I would be getting him fired. By the way, just noticed you live in Cypress. I live in Cypress as well right behind the outlet mall (Fairfield neighborhood).

I'm just off of Eldridge...North of FM 1960. Luckily, it was packed very well and doesn't appear to have any damage. Hoping to get it and my Victory Blitz bumper installed next week. Blake

Yeah we seriously looked for a nice big lot over in Tower Oaks but either they wanted some astronomical prices for land with a mediocre house, or they got swooped up quick. We also looked at a 4 bedroom house in Barwood that had almost a half acre lot, but it too got swooped up in less than 24 hours after going on the market.

I live in Tower Oaks... It is an awesome place to live. The houses do sell fast out here though. No city taxes and well/septic systems.

Yeah there was a house on mile drive that we were interested in awhile back for sale that had a circular driveway, and fully gated yard with automatic gate that looked very nice, but it sold fast.

What bumper are you using to mount the winch to the Tundra?
