    Hey all,

I changed the head unit on my 2014 Tundra non-JBL w/ center speaker and now only the top 3 speakers in the dash and the rear door tweeters work. None of the 4 door speakers do.

The wiring is the same from my 2017 tundra. I looked at crutchfield and when I add it all to the cart its the exact same harnesses and cables I have. All wires frim head unit match to correct door speakers but maybe something is different in the wiring of the tundras that habe the extra speakers on the dash?

Anyone have any advice? I plugged OEM head unit back in and it works great.

That sucks!! I'm getting ready to do the same thing to my 15 CM non-JBL w/ center speaker. If you don't get a good answer and haven't figured it out by the weekend, I'll give you feedback on my install. If it helps???

Yep, I believe the speakers that are working are powered by the HU. All the speakers that aren't working are powered by the OEM amp which should still be present on non JBL models. You probably just missed the amp remote or 'turn on' wire on your harness. Usually a blue or blue w/ white stripe wire. Which harness are you running?

Yep, it is the amp under the seat. I went opposite route. Left OEM HU but ditched the amp and speakers and added sub. Big time improvement . You can actually hear the tweeters now.

Oh man if that is why my head unit isnt playing from the door I'm buying you a round of drinks. Its been blowing my mind that it isn't working with the correct harness. If only I didnt just have surgery on my arm a few weeks who and then two days ago throw out my back installing my pop & lock... I can't wait do try this.
