My wife saw that and is already wanting a Sequoia pro. She wants to use my new truck since I have the 0% to get it next year, she has 2019 4R TRD-Offroad premium, that she says I can use to get a Pro as well....

Exactly my thoughts. What are we all so excited for lol. Toyota has made minimal improvements once again for another year. Was old before, still old...with functions other vehicles have had for a while. I like tundras (duh) but this news doesn’t seem that exciting.

    Me too! :spending:

Miss my 2010 Tundra DC, even it had room to spare in back seat and comfortable! Nice to have the 6' bed for lumber and more!

Yup, I was expecting more passengers more often. As it turns out I don't use the back as much. So why not have more bed space instead is my thinking.

Just joined to say I'm really excited about this Army Green TRD Pro. I've been driving a 2013 Tacoma for the last 5 years and it's done an admiral job pretending to be a tow vehicle and playing with the big boys by pulling my relatively light trailers... but it's just a dog when it comes down to it and it really struggles with the wind profile of this 3,400 lb (loaded) snowmobile trailer and 5,000 lb boat trailer.

I have a thing for green, so I definitely think Army Green will be the one for me since Spruce Mica hasn't been on a Tundra since 2013

Is that a Canada only option? I didn't think double cab Pros were available in 2019

Love the looks and updates but I won't be able to afford it. I hope they'll release the TRD sport in Army green, might have to trade in for that.

Love the TRD lineup. Why no rear locker for the Tundra or Sequoia?

I love ATRAC on my 4Runner. It works incredibly well. Just curious more than anything. It’s just funny that neither the Off Road nor Pro package on the Tundra comes with a locker. Doesn’t pretty much every other full-size truck have a factory locker option? Kind of a head scratcher when Toyota has built their brand in no small part on off-roading.

Serious question here... Why do you guys love double cabs so much? I mean I have a 14 mgm double cab, I had a great deal that I could not refuse, but I really do not like it. I am 6'2'' and when I pick someone up from airport, put their luggage in the back, there is barely a room left for one person there. Yea yea I can get a tonneau cover, but the good ones are stupid expensive and I dont trust the cheap ones. There is also not a room for a sub unless you want to sacrifice only storage area. Back window can not be automated and only partially opens. I can not wait to switch to a crewmax. What am I missing? I love my truck but double cab sux.

All depends on needs. My needs have changed. I dont have the need for a large back seat, no gf or her kids anymore. I could use the extra bed room now. I can count on one hand the times the crew max back seat came in handy and count more times I've needed the extra bed space.

Think it has to do with 2 things - the Tundra mechanically is the same since 2007, not going to get into good or bad on that. And then there's the idea that the Taco is the more off-road worthy pickup - lighter, narrower, shorter (barely), angles. In all honesty if Toyota made a proper off-road rig of the Tundra with all the features found in a Tacoma what would be the point in buying a Tacoma? There needs to be some identity difference between the 2 and Off Road is the big one for the Taco at this time.

That makes sense but the sacrifice I have to make for a sub and the weird reach I have to do every time I wanna open the back window really turns me off. I mean its my only and daily driver stereo sucks DEEEEEP and I have to do yoga to do that one cool thing left about it and even after that it is partially done not the whole enchilada.

Makes sense. I was actually thinking of double cab with rear seats removed. I dont have passengers that often anymore. But I've also thought of that with the crew max...it is nice having the rear roll down for sure compared to the slider on a double cab.
