Has anyone upgraded the backup camera on the 14+ model with one that fits in the stock location? If I'm going to stay with the android units I'd really like to get a better backup camera but I don't want it to look non-factory.

I was looking over the specs of the Dasaita and noticed that it mentions having a DSP. Could someone post pictures of the DSP showing the crossover and what's adjustable? I am interested to see if this unit could be used to run an active system. Thanks!

I'm curious as I saw on Amazon dasaita answered a question on there stating a newer model will have Android auto. This comment is only from a week ago. So does the latest model not include Android auto?? Or can it just be installed from the play store on the unit?
Also I was looking at what all I needed for this install and the canbus link isn't working. Any links on what I need for the 2019 model stereo adapters including the steering wheel controls?
    Thank you

I am about to seat this in my dash after testing. TONS of awesome info on here.

Question.. my LED screen doesnt seem to firm when adjusting it.

Does anyone have issued with it dropping up and down?

    Any way to tighten?

Make sure before you tighten the plastic wing nuts down on each side that the pins are fully seated and that the wingnut rods are in the adjusting“notches”, it should firm up real nice

    I didn’t use a metra, I used this:

    https://www.ebay.com/p/American-Int...-13-Toyota-Tundra-Dash-Install-Kit/1303929454

I canted/angled the trim piece and it just barely slipped over the wingnuts when they were fully tightened down (on nothing). Then I installed the screen on top after backing the nuts off and installing the pins.

    thx for the replies guys

Ah, yeah, Im one of the few guys on here that put it in a 2nd gen. Most of ya'll have 3rd gens that apparently have different sized openings?

OK I am installed and up and running. I had one issue with the unit that may or may not be applicable to others.

I am using an aftermarket amp. The SUB and MID output labels were swapped by mistake at Dasaita.

Dasaita confirmed this mistake on their end. So if you are using the SUB pre out and not getting the signal you need - swap with MID..

Below is their verification and a few pics of my install/build

    thx

Ive done the updates on my unit. Its pretty easy and straightforward because your unit should find the update automatically once you insert the sd card into the unit and it is mounted. I actually went with the idoing 10.2" 1 din unit and the vendor sent me not only the android platform update but also the mcu update as well. it should the be the same process regardless of brand. here is a video that shows you how to update it:

Well folks I'm jumping ship to the Phoenix now that there is a PX6 version. I'll keep for dasaita unit for a couple weeks to make sure I like the Phoenix before selling it.

Definitely let us know how you like the Phoenix one. I'm still rocking the px3 one. I was going to jump to the px6 but it is not fastboot. I recently did the shivadest rom and it is much better than stock.

Is your dasaita the px6 model?
If so I'd be interested in buying it from you. Keep me posted please

It is. There is a line forming for it. Will let it go very reasonably priced. Send me a pm to confirm your place in line in case the first person who asked backs out.

I'm slowly getting things dialed in. I would say at this point the only and main issue is that the gen 3 is currently NOT fastboot. It takes a looooong time to get bluetooth connected so my hotspot starts then longer for wifi to connect and my pandora tasker routine to get the music going. it took a little while with the dasaita but defintely no where near as long.

Once booted though it seem about on par with the px6 powered dasaita?

What in particular did you not like about the on screen controls?

They are quite small. I'm not sure if there is another theme that makes them a bit bigger. Even though they had buttons every time you went to change something the other more basic climate control menu would pop up at the top of the control even though you dont need it. The seat vent/heat buttons are only on the pop up climate control as well as the rear/mirror defroster. then mine would randomly not work when i used remote start. If they made it so i could get rid of the icons at the top and use that space to make the climate controls bigger with everything on them and no pop up, then i would probably keep it. all assuming they fix the randomly not working issue with remote start. Also it didnt indicate that my seat vent was on when it started even though it was.

yeah, I am so happy with the Dasaita. I couldn't deal with a full screen unit like that, and honestly I have read people having more issues with it than other units.

That's pretty nice. Dongle hasn't given me much trouble since I updated the firmware and software. It did 100% lock up on me the other day which was weird, but that was the Android OS and not the dongle. Had to power down the car to get my music back.
