Received my shackles and had them (and the carrier bearing spacers) in the next day! Extremely impressed with the build quality. My stock leaf bushing were A PAIN to get out but I suppose 12 years will do that..

 

Bilstein 6112s sitting in my truck bed 7 weeks now waiting on the purchase from this group buy. No complaints. Never contacted David once as I know the wait and patience will be well worth it. Hope I get some Swedish fish tho !!

Looks nice! I see you also have the TRD Exhaust, David mentioned something a while back about needing to disconnect and reconnect along with the rear sway bar. Did the exhaust get in the way of installing the shackles? I didn't see any comments about it in your write up, so I was assuming no problems there.

 

I just had to remove the rear most hangers. I will add it to my write up.

 

How'd you get yours out? I'm an '07 as well...trying to have every trick up my sleeve

From te ground to the front fender I am just under 41" up front with my 295/70s and the shims. And around 41.5 at the rear fender.

I got mine yesterday as well! Thank you to David @Coachbuilder1 and everyone who helped put this gb together. @cmiller219 ,

 

PLENTY of PB Blaster to start with. I used a 20V battery powered impact gun coming in from the center of the truck and this literally took me less than 20-25 minutes a side to replace these once it was on jacks and in the air.

 

Got my +3 shackles on and wow what a difference in ride quality. (Coming from a BDS 1" shackle w/ factory rubber bushings) No more bed bounce. Set up is Front: Bilstein 5100 top setting w/ 2 CB shims per side & Rear: CB +3 and stock shocks.

 

Nice! That looks like the perfect stance to me. Hoping for a similar result after I get my shims/shackles installed and some bigger tires. Are those 295/70/18?

I sprayed some liquid wrench on there and I doubt it did anything. Maybe doing it a couple days in advance would’ve helped, but I was too impatient.

I rented a ball joint press from my local autozone. It did not work just pressing on the bushing. I ended up using a 27 mm socket with the press as it lined up with the outter rim of the bushing.

It was a pain but it worked. Good luck!

 

I am waiting for 2+ and was near the middle. Hopefully we are up soon, can't wait to install!
