When I had mine hooked up I could put it on fullscreen and it would stay until I got on an interstate. Then it felt the need to go half screen and show me the upcoming exits on the right.

I sold my head unit and bought an aftermarket HU. Budget build with new amp, new speakers, sound deadening, and downward firing 10" sub. IMHO I can't believe they put this Entune crap in our trucks. My new system didn't cost me an arm and leg since I did everything myself except hooking up the sub. You can get top of the line equipment but I didn't and still smile everytime I turn it on.

We have a dime-store factory radio in a great truck. Waze and Google Maps on new HU is worth it since I drive to customers houses. Even my starred places for hunting spots and mineral licks come up on Google Maps. - Totally worth it. Made the truck enjoyable when you only have to turn it up to 20 to rock out.

How much did you get for your old one and what was it? I'm going to be putting mine up on ebay. The Premium non-JBL I have seen sold for $350-500

It came out of a limited. Entune Plus or Entune Premium. I really can't remember, but I don't miss it one bit. I want to block it from my mind it was that horrible. The cost of selling it almost covered the new HU. I really think I could have gotten more but I wanted it to sell fast and not sit around.

Waze, with or without Apple Car play...has to be better than anything out there. Real time traffic updates, police reported ahead, road kill reported ahead, vehicle stopped on shoulder etc etc.

I'm not even sure why (like others have said) manufacturers even try to offer Nav anymore.

hey all. have a question about the 2017 tundra radio. it has everything but the nav app. can i add this app on the radio itself. or do i have to buy another radio with the app installed already. maybe this is just a stupid question.

I think that the factory nav system is impressive for a factory unit. I have seen so many others that are complete trash. That said, I mostly use Apple Maps through the carplay. I like it better than Google Maps since I can search for a business and then have the option to dial them up from the app if needed.
