    Hello all,
New here and have been researching how to take bikes when pulling a trailer. We have a 2016 Tundra TRD and we pull a 2015 14DBS Camplite. Back bumper is aluminum tied to an aluminum frame. I don't want to add tongue weight and the Arvika racks are close to $700. So been thinking about adding a front hitch and putting the bike rack there. Any opinions????Might also be cheaper, but have not talked to a hitch shop yet. Thanks.

I'm not sure if the front hitch receivers come out far enough for a bike rack, but roof rack system on the bed of the truck is one way to go. I had the roof rails installed on my retractable tonneau cover, but you can install them directly on the bed rails too. These Rhino racks are quick release so you can leave the feet of the racks on all the time and take the entire rack system on and off in a few minutes.

I use a set up similar to @Tun-D - Pace Edwards cover with Yakima bars and bike mounts.

Truck bed was full of camping gear - no room for bikes too.

This is something I've been trying to work on too. I may just go with the tailgate pad. It's an easy solution to hold a couple of bikes. I'd have to take my cover off but that's NBD. The Yakima BedRock HDs are nice, but after those + rails and two racks, you are looking at 1k minimum. The Kuat or 1up USA hitch racks are nice, but I don't need to extend the length of the truck anymore. I may just get the Yakima or other tailgate pad. Simple and easy and economical.

Bike rack that mounts to the trailer A-Frame near the front?
Something similar to this - https://www.etrailer.com/RV-and-Camper-Bike-Racks/Stromberg-Carlson/CC-275.html
Odds are that's the way we are going to go as we have one bicycle and then a recumbent trike that will fit in the truck bed.

Front receiver hitch will require a 6" extension.
