I bought one and returned it; not as advertised. Water pressure dropped fast, I doubt there was enough pressure to get all 3.8 gallons out. Filled up in like 20 seconds so I doubt that many gallons got in there to begin with. Also, the nozzle leaked water everywhere which contributed to the water waste. All in all I don't believe it was worth the price. That's my opinion, maybe it fits y'alls needs and expectations better.

Hmm. I hope I don’t have that problem. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Just finished making some relocation drop brackets so I can mount it under my cover. They sent me a new cap. I guess their original design was defective. That may be why yours is losing pressure. Good test would be to check for leaks like you would an innertube. Either soapy water or a bucket of water to find the bubbles. You do have me thinking I may want to upgrade the quick connect fittings if mine fail, as well as the spray nozzle.

Those two smaller tabs are for my RCI skid plate that was missing the heavy duty washers that go on top of the crossmember. 57FBEE3C-F326-48BA-A72C-C9B6C121E59C.jpg
I’m definitely no fabricator LOL. Just grabbed some quarter inch flat stock. I don’t even have a freaking workbench right now. Used some C clamp vice grips to clamp it to a 2 x 4 and then screwed that 2 x 4 to a chunk of 8 x 6 so I could drill and cut everything. Everything done with Milwaukee drill and sawzall. I really tried to have patience painting it. I should’ve set up something to hang them from. Used self etching primer and then black semi gloss rustoleum. I painted them on cardboard and then flipped them too soon and it left marks in my paint. Then I tried touching them up this morning and it crackled. Fuck it, it’s going on I’m not redoing it. I know for a fact I could’ve done a better job. But I’ve been lacking patients since my back has been pissing me off. Sciatic.

It’s only going in the bed of the truck so I’ll deal with it. I really just didn’t want rust because I hate the way it looks.

Edit: I also used about a 4 inch piece of 2 x 8 lumber that I’m going to mount at the bottom of the plate. This will be used to support the lower portion of the bracket up against the inside of the bed when the tank is full of water. I’m also going to glue a small piece of rubber along the edge of the 2 x 8 for a little padding. Since there will be more leverage because the bracket is now longer.

I will update when the paint is dry and I can bolt it all together.

Yeah, no biggie. Just wasn't impressed with how it worked; didn't see the value in it when I tested and didn't work as advertised.

Hopefully yours works great and covers your needs.

Ya a final shot of it being done would be nice. I was checking out their accessories through Waterport's home page and they have a drop down plate for tonneau covers but for $40 I think we can can fashion something that works. I still have yet to purchase one and will wait for the sale.

I bought the plate for eight dollars and with the paint and nuts and bolts I’m probably close to $40 into it LOL I didn’t realize they have something already.

It’s finished there’s always something that I figured I could’ve done different but it will work for me. I can always change it later. Notice the 2 x 8 screwed to the bottom. I glued a little piece of rubber to insulate it a little. I used 1 x 5/16 stainless bolts nuts and washers. Probably a little overkill. For the top bolts to mount into the rail I bought some 1-1/4Stainless bolts so that I could add a lock washer and washer there as well. Could not replace the 5/16 jam nuts behind the plastic to T nuts. As I couldn’t find them in stainless. A standard nut was too thick and wouldn’t fit into the rails with the T.

The block of wood I mounted with some 3” lag bolts. They were either 5/16 or 3/8. Don’t forget to pre-drill the wood so it doesn’t split.
    E938FF46-22D7-4130-BD27-E7CBB3EAB1FD.jpg 790EDEE2-9299-4309-BF8F-C8FF8BE16085.jpg 5173857F-567E-4F3C-8A29-26B37C5D48E8.jpg
If I did it again I think I would make it even longer so that I wasn’t limited to the raised portion of the side of the bed contours. If I made the brackets about 2 1/2 inches longer I would have full mobility front to back for placement of the water port. 5714CA63-95D4-4C66-927F-3969D79F445F.jpg 47083AA5-A04C-4861-B331-F53D2211B363.jpg

So in the middle of taking these pictures, I decided I wanted it placed over the wheel well since it will take up the least amount of space there. Found some very dense foam that I had and glued it on top of the rubber. LOL since the wood I cut was a little long then adding this piece of foam it works perfectly inside of the bed contour. It’s perfectly perpendicular to the bedside and super solid!

I know it’s not fancy or some killer fabricated part that I know some of you can do. But with my limited shop supplies I’m satisfied.

If anyone is worried about dispersing the weight even further you could mount a 2 x 4 in front of the 2 x 8 along the bedside. Like a big TEE

That looks great Sean! I like how it can go over wheel well out of the way!
