    was curious on pros and cons between these 2 UCAs. SPC seems like they are more adjustable but the TC seems more heavy duty. thoughts?

    Spc is a ball joint.
    TC is a uniball.

    SPC requires less maintenence.

    TC has a greater range of motion.

    SPC uses grease.
    TC uses dry lube.

    SPC has a lot of adjustablility for caster and camber. Could lead to more expensive alignment if the shop doesn't understand the adjustments.

    Which would you suggest? the price difference doesn't bother me.

    That depends if you want maintenance or maintenance free. I have SPC and they're solid. Hell, our resident Toyota mechanic, @LOTSOFTOYS even recommends them

    Which one is maintenance free? SPC?

    But between the 2 can you get bigger tires with one or the other?

    Spc are very user friendly. simple, no maintenance and adjustable. TC or anyother uniballs uca are much stronger, requires maintenance and are not adjustable... depends on what u r gonna do with the truck really

    I have the SPC's on three toyota's (4runner, tacoma, and tundra). They've performed well. 80,000 miles on one set with no issues.

    I don't really want anyone hacking on my truck and I want to have to option to off road so tell me your thoughts on this...

    Toytec Boss 3" full lift
    SPC UCA
    Toytec shackles
    295 70 18 tires
    18x9 wheel either +18 or +12 offset ( want them flush with bushwacker fender flares or sticking out just a tad )

    That sound pretty solid? shouldn't have to cab mount chop or trim bumpers or anything?

    the only other change I would make is maybe 305 70 18 tires but I believe you guys told me I'd have to do a cab mount chop and bumper trim with that right? I can deal with losing a little height and width if I can get away without having to chop and trim

    Go with 18. I have 18 and my tires are only few mm from the body mounts. 12 would've rubbed. Other components look solid.

    All look like good choices. I would also go with +18.
    305/70R18 is 35" diam and 12.5 width. You will. We'd to trim front plastic and cab mount chop most likely.

    295/70R18 is a 34.25" diam and 12" width. You probably will need to trim the plastic in the wheel well.

    Do you guys have pics of what you had to trim or a dyi on it? the cab mount I'm familiar with. plastic and bumper trimming or heating the fender wells with a heat gun I'm not

    I'd go with +18 if you want to minimize trimming. Check my build thread if you want to check out what I trimmed to fit +12 on my 3" lift.

    Mine did rub at full lock and I pushed in the plastic liner and rescrewed bottom screws (I understand this procedure is somewhat more difficult with 2014+). I have no more rub. I have 3.5 OME lift and 295/70/18 Nitto Trail Grappler. I am not sure about full compression since I don't really go off road in any serious way.

    I'm going with TCs and coilovers on my future setup.

    here is my front liner after last weekend: 33x12x18 with +18 offset and pro comp spacers in front.
