So i took my front brake calipers off today to paint them and I guess I got a little aggressive with the small wire brush I had and noticed i made a small cut on the rubber caliper boot. It's not shown in the picture i couldn't find it when I was looking to take a picture of it. How big of a deal is this and should I do anything about it?

I would replace them they are just dust seals and are probably really inexpensive.

To get the boot, you’ll have to buy a caliper seal kit, which is somewhere in the $30 range, all the seals and boots for 2 calipers. You definitely don’t want to ignore that as it will cause the piston to seize, but I’d also not be afraid to reassemble the brake and run the truck until next weekend and you have parts and time.
