I purchased a 2005 Tundra 4.7L little over two years ago. I’m trying to determine if the Timing Belt was ever replaced. I looked at all the electronic records on the Toyota site and Carfax, along with the paper records that came with the truck. I have found no record of it being replaced. I removed the inspection cover and noted markings on the belt showing it was made in the USA. I believe the OEM belt was made in Japan and has Toyota marked on it. Can someone confirm the manufacture of the OEM belt, if it has Toyota marked on it, and if it is made in Japan. I uploaded pictures of my belt if by chance someone can identify its manufacturer.

In 2005, that engine would have been imported from Japan. So, the odds are the belt would not be made in USA and shipped to Japan to use in the 4.7. So, I'd say it's been replaced.
