I brought my new 2019 Limited CM in to the dealer recently for some quality control issues that I find annoying at best and disconcerting at worst, including an issue with the plastic of the rear fold-down arm rest, a deformed headliner, crooked badge applications, and uneven lighting on the instrument panel. The first three Toyota has addressed without issue, but on the latter I'm getting a lot of push back. Specifically, the 4k position on my tachometer is brighter than the rest of the gauge, and less notably the top of the temperature and fuel gauges are brighter than the bottom. I didn't notice it at first, but over a long trip recently it drove me nuts, particularly that 4 thing. I just assumed an LED had come loose behind the panel, so I asked my local dealer to take a look.

First service trip in about a week ago they claim to have put some kind of light meter on it and said the lighting was the same as everything else. It clearly was not, and the service rep said to bring it up again when the aforementioned headliner came in the following week.

I brought it in yesterday to get the other work done and mentioned the dash again. This time they checked it out and said all the new Tundras are like that. I was sure that it wasn't when I first got it, but now I'm not so sure. I tried to photograph it during the day and it didn't turn out that well, but you can sort of see it. It's really once we get down to dusk and evening driving that it really stands out. I've tried adjusting the brightness, which doesn't help.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm not too crazy about the dealer's pound sand approach. I also know that I am totally OCD about these things, so I'm probably getting a little flustered over a petty issue. Mainly I'm concerned about the quality control with Toyota now. I had no problems like this with my '08.

Couldn't upload a video, so I'll add a YouTube link here (https://youtu.be/pxf2SEKG7lE). Slightly more obvious as the lights are coming up. I may try to get a better pic of it at night.
