    Hello all,

I was thinking of upgrading o a 33" diameter BFG K02 tire on the stock spare tire wheel. Will it fit underneath?

When I was under my truck replacing the exhaust I had to lower the spare and realized that their are small brackets that might have to be bent back in order to fit a bigger tire. A 33 is only .5" taller than stock if I'm not mistaken. Looks like a small modification but, I think it should be possible. If you were going any larger than it might not work. I'm in the same boat. I went up to 275/70r18 but, still need to change out my spare to the same size. Someone who has done this might chime in.

Currently running a 295/70r18 (34.3") underneath with zero modifications. My exhaust dumps before the rear axle though. Bend the hanger tabs and I believe you can fit a 35"

    My 285/75/17 (33.8") barely fits.

The short answer, as mentioned above, is yes.

I have a 275/70R 18 KO2 mounted under my truck without any modification whatsoever.

As mentioned, there are a couple of metal tabs and I think the tire would fit better if you were to either bend or remove them, but it isn't necessary.

You can throw a 315/70/17 (34.5) under there if your shackles bolts will clear. I had to reverse mine. Maybe I did something else... i did whatever I did 9 years ago so I can’t remember.
