What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Gave her a bath and noticed all this white spots that looked like it had rust in the center. I used iron x on the whole truck and holy shit...cleaned it right off!!, bathed again, now waxing by hand section at a time!

 

I just bought a strip of LEDs off of Amazon and the easy connectors. I already had hot glue, wire loom and everything else needed.

For some reason the app isn't letting me share. It's a 16.4 ft roll of SMD LEDs. Easy find.

 

Just half way done to taking off the ugly pinstripes on my tundra. Also got a bike rack today.

 

Soon to retire... 20 n out!!

No, I tapped into the biggest pink wire (2018+) in the driver side cable bundle running to the back of the truck. It is not any of the pink ones with a stripe, and its not as big as you think it is.

So when I hit the unlock button on my key the lights turn on. Once the trucks courtesy lights turn off, so do the LEDs.

I will be adding a few pictures to this thread to point out a few things that I did.

 

If and when the vinyl graphic falls off, I will hit them up next. They are BA.

 

Added some dirt and pin stripes in Sedona.

I did my wife’s 4 runner this weekend and my tundra when I bought it. The 4Runner I just parked it in the sun and peeled them off easily then used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive. The Tundra I had a 3m wheel and buffed them off.

A lot of guys will do it in the garage with a hair dryer or heat gun. Goodluck
