Let me start by stating if you are looking for a solid way to mount your phone while driving (without drilling holes). Look no further than Hondo's Un-Holey mount! It only takes a few moments to mount to your vent. Only thing some may complain about is the fact that it locks your vent in what ever position you set the mount.

In my past vehicles, both Jeep Grand Cherokees I opted to drill a hole in the dash and mount a 1" ram ball mount. I couldn't' bring myself to drill a hole in the truck. So after some research I saw this mount. I stole the RAM phone mount from my Wife's Jeep and slapped a wireless charger on it.

Here is my test drive video. I went over a few decent road bumps to test the rigidity of the mount.

I have the same mount and it’s rock solid. I love it.

I have the same mounts. I have no issues on my driver side... but I cant get the passenger to stay on. Not sure why or how but it falls off constantly. I have a RAM cup holder mounted on the driver side with zero issues.

Best solid vent mount out there. I’ve been wanting to get an Un-Holey and a RAM ball, rig my iOttie holder to it, single hand operation. But at the moment I’ve been spinning those vents at my hands because we don’t have heated steering wheels so I’m not sure the $47+shipping to me is worth it yet. The other reason is I don’t mount my phone much having an Android HU, I tend to put it over the DIY wireless charger on the center console. I’ll probably still get it lol. Nice vid!

Made a few changes to the mount today. I didn't like how bulky the charger was. I pulled apart a spare wireless charger I got from a conferance and mounted it to the X Grip. I broke that so I took the circuit board and a coil from an Anker charger which fits perfectly and has unused double side tape already installed. After sanding the top of the mount the cable could lay flat and wrap around. I added a small jumper wire between the coil and the circuit so I could mount it on the side. Then painted the coil black so it matched and blended with the rest of the mount. Used some heat shrink over the board to clean it up and protect it. Some double side tape to mount the board on the arm.

What RAM Mount needs to sell is a clip on wireless charger. It would be quite easy for them to implement. I wish I had a 3D printer.

@lewi3069 do you still run the cord down to the plug ins by the cup holders for the charger? Or do you have another solution?

Yes, at this time I do. At some point I'll probably take a stab at an alternate route.

Has anyone found a wireless mount that fits the ball size of the Ram Mount?
My solution is likely going to be to make my own, like lewi3069 did here, as I really do like the ram mount, but I'd likely try commercial charging mount if I could get it to mount on the HondoGarage mount.

Did you purchase the bundle option? I see It’s 139$ km looking into purchasing this product & wondering if cheaper to buy everything separate? Which mounts did you get?

Has anyone mounted this on the lower portion of the vent and possibly have pics. I would prefer more below the dash look if it is possible. Thanks in advance for the replies.
