I'm curious if any of that ceramic coating would help protect headlights.

It’s just Meguiars headlight coating. I wasn’t a fan of it being a liquid which made it really easy to run when applying. It dried very quickly like a superglue and only protects for about a head so something more permanent will need to be done eventually.

I was thinking about busting out my old bottle of Tropicana SPF 189 I used to use on my hands back in the day. Lo, my research yields that the oil base may negatively affect the acrylic lens.

    I’ll look into the Meguiars.

Just a heads up. I was having an issue with a rear ABS wheel speed sensor and it was intermittently working after replacing with a new OEM one ($$$ ouch) but finally took it to the dealership and they traced it back to a frayed wire beneath the driver's side cab that the sensor wasn't always getting the full correct voltage. That ended up fixing my issue.

Got my new Toyota lower ball joints and carrier bearing installed. Ball joints appeared to be original but in great shape. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Also got some Volsa head light bulbs from Candlepower (apparently the replacement for the Osram Rallaye Lamps)

    That's a great result.
I was polishing out a brush mark on the truck, noticed my headlight looked almost as bad as yours. I went at it with the meguiars polish & finishing polish, Carnuba wax since I had it open. End result was good, not as good as yours, but it went from Ew- that needs polished to huh-that's starting to fade.

I had a professional detailer restore and coat my headlamps with a ceramic coating (Ceramic Pro) about six months ago. They looked brand new afterward, and still look great today. But my truck is not garaged, so I don't expect it to last all that long. The detailer said his customers usually get a year and half or two before they start to notice some yellowing. But he'll repolish them and recoat them for $50.

Sounds pretty fair @sakana I looked online a bit and results sound decent.

Went for a little camping in Carlsbad with my brother and his fam. His pop up trailer "The Krapper" is still in use.

I just followed a good YouTube video. The kit I bought had a nice rounded hand sander and came with some sandpaper. I just had to buy 1500 grit. Also had to use the compound on a microfiber which sucked a lot since I don’t have a wool pad for my drill. I do have a nice foam pad that came with the kit for the polish which helped a lot. I’m not a fan of the liquid protectant layer just because it was like water, and applied with a foam pad but dried like superglue. If I would have know this I wouldn’t have used much at all. If I look close enough I do have a wavy run on one light. Shouldn’t be a problem though, especially since I’ll be building retrofits soon.

I'll do that for the Taco as the reflective surface inside is starting to go, but the Tundra lamp is perfect inside, so a quick polish got me to the right place.

Yes they do. Luckily, for the sake of my bank account, there isn't a whole lot of turning out here in West Texas.

Saw a white 2003 AC today with side boxes similar to mine. Only the second time in years I’ve seen the same set up. The other time was on a DC last year which didn’t look as good.

I heard Tavarua is pumping right now. 10 days there might cost about $6-7k.
