Anyone know if this would work in our tundras? Could it be done in the backseat? What or inside the console? It would be nice to have another usb.

Are you replacing the rear DC outlet?

Sorry. I'll try to gather more info. It's for sale on a website. It's a toyota OEM Toyota part per the listing, but just didn't know if anyone had ever tried that particular part number shown in the picture.

Link? I'm sure it will work in our trucks as this was an option when I was looking to build.

....if your going that route, get one on Amazon for $3.99

And that's definitely not a tundra OEM part

I have one in my console that replaced the cigarette outlet, fit perfectly and works well. But I would never pay 129 for one!

Two things first. The fact that it's sold by a Toyota dealer does not establish it's a Toyota part. Dealers sell aftermarket parts. Second, you do understand it's only a charging port, and will not add another USB port to your radio or whatever. Anyway, since your example costs way too much for a simple charging port, I'd follow the suggestion above by computeruser6. If necessary, cut a hole for it and wire it into your nearby 12v DC outlet. If you don't want to go through all that, just get a really cheap USB adapter that plugs into an existing 12v DC outlet.

I thought about replacing the rear or the center console 12 volt just to have more usb charging ports.

The seller is asking about 30-35 dollars I believe. It’s still more expensive than your option, but no way I’m paying 129!

I like this. Chickened out on a $30 part so what does the man do???? Spends thousands on wheels and suspension instead.

Haha!!! You got me there! I just didn’t want to drill into any plastic or mess up
any wiring. I’ll take the leap soon enough! Plus, wheels and suspension are much more fun!

That is definitely a factory option. My 19 came with one. Same cover, same lettering on the accessory.

Do you have a pic where it was installed on your 19? I just ordered on and I’m hoping to replace a 12 V in front on my 2018.

As the others above have said, I don't understand why you wouldn't just get a $3 12V to USB adapter. I have half a dozen I've gotten for free at car shows and other places like that.

Sure can, let me get home from church and I will. Seems as though when the trucks are at port where they add the factory options, they put these dual ports high up in the back of the console. I saw one like that when I was looking at buying one. And then found out that mine has that when I went to go look at it.
