Did you get a chance to go out to Wizards Island? You used to be able to hike down and the park service had boat that would go out and circle around it and come back. Pure clear water. Amazing place to visit.

It is still possible to go out to the island. The boat run was open but the wife and I were not of a mind to do that today. Intention is to go back this summer and do some backpacking.

The 3 Sisters area is also great for hiking part of the Pacific Crest Trail. The Mackenzie Highway out of Eugene will get you there.
