Take a listen, my bed (I think) is making all sorts of noises. Anyone know what this is? My setup in the rear are Bilstein 5160’s with 1” shackles.

My gen 2 tailgate has made a TON of noise since day one. Putting a tonneau cover on shut it up.

Amp power step running boards installed on your truck by chance?

Nope. Just not super tight on bumpy roads

They make the exact same noise on my truck.

They rub the frame when retracted.

get some WD40 silicon spray and spray leaf pack/ shackles and the bed isolators (between frame and bed, 4 spots)
Also check your bed bolts are tight.

It’s the new shackles. They are rubbing a bed bolt underneath. You need to grind the side of the threads down to clear the shackle. This is very common. Mine did the same thing until I grinded the bolt And relubed the shit out of the bushings at the frame. And I suggest you replace the factory leaf spring bushings with polys. The factory will eat up the new shackles. Plus the polys will make it ride even better.

Mind sending me a few pics of exactly where I need to grind? Also, any recommendations for poly bushings?

I used the ones that came with my toytec shackles. I believe they are Energy Suspension bushings.

I had a noise just like that on my 2017 Platinum and it turned out to be the spring on the assembly that holds the spare tire in place -- like the one shown here (not mine). I greased it a bit and haven't heard the noise since.
