Alaska Officer shot

Just had a funeral today for 2 officers killed ILOD last week. They really just don't get paid enough to do what they do

Our prayers for the family. Makes me sick to my stomach.

 

I was a police officer for 12 years. I went out with three guys I used to work with to a concert a couple of nights ago. Two of them are still cops, two of us are not. One of them asked me if I would ever consider doing it part time. I just said now that I have a family and watch the news, how could I? I'm still considering it in all honesty as a job on the side (as if I have time for that), but the current atmosphere of the country really gives me a sinking feeling. At 21, it was going out and saving the world, being cool and driving a fast car. Probably things each of the officers described above thought of too. I know I never went to work thinking I wanted to hurt anyone, let alone kill someone. I hate the bad rap the country is giving cops because of a few very isolated incidents. All of the men and women I worked with were noble, and truly caring people. I hope this trend turns around soon.

 

I'm with you, Ron. So many friends that are still on the job. It's nice to hear people stepping up and giving those heros the credit they deserve.

Roger that! I work in LE (technology, not commissioned) and pray everyday our men and woman are safe. Enough is Enough. If the Dogs stop protecting the sheep the wolves will converge and destroy our way of life.
