This looks amazing! Would this render my DSR1 useless?

Wow nice. Zero loss of any functionality? All steering wheel controls work? Anything to know?

They have a Maestro interface. I still posses all steering controls and data from Toyota. I can connect to the unit via cord or Bluetooth., All good.

I am also able to get real telemetry from the TPMS sensors w/ pressure and temp readings including Spare Tire.

Awesome upgrade. I read somewhere that with this headunit you can watch videos such as Youtube, Netflix, etc...is this true?

While I do not have this unit in my Tundra, in my FJ Cruiser I had the Pioneer unit with Apple Car Play and yes, if wired correctly, with HDMI and lightening/USB, you can watch Netflix even while driving. Although that is not recommended right?

I just installed this in my '17 1794 and am not getting any TPMS info. Did you have to purchase anything special to see TPMS?

It comes with an OBDII adapter (http://support.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/iLX-F309TND_IM_FNL.pdf) -- you should see something plugged into the ODBII port, my guess is you need this for all vehicle details.

How adjustable is this unit? Its a single din and ive heard you can put it in the top or bottom and slide the screen up or down. Do you like how its placed?

Do you mind taking a picture from the side? I heard its just open on the back and you could slide stuff on top of the unit like its unfinished. Looking to see if it looks bad from the side as you see it when you climb in the cab.

It is single din, the adapter is double and has a little cubby that sits behind the face of the headunit. Great for a little extra storage, or if you're from Colorado (like me) a little green and a pipe. LOL.

The face can slide up or down (but very loosely) there's a set screw once you pick where you want it, put the screw in to hold it where you want vertically (I think there are 5 to 8 different settings for vertical placement). It also tilts back and forth (so I set the vertical height of the screen in the middle so I can get full upward and downward tilt) (tilt tight and smooth) there is a set screw but I left it out as I frequently adjust based on sun glare. It also adjusts in and out (2 options to choose from and a setting plate for it). I have mine further out (away from the dash) so I can get the full range of the tilt, if set to be closer to the dash (which gives a bit of a cleaner look), I can not tilt up or down as far. I ended up putting an antiglare screen protector on that I ordered from eBay. They have a template for the halo9, it comes in a 2 pack, and precut to fit. Install is pretty simple.

Depends on what all they are doing. Just installing the stereo? $900-$1000 for the halo
Headunit, $250.for install kit (should include all adapters) that leaves $600 for tax and install seems high to me. Are they installing any amps? Installing any optional equipment like the VIM (vehicle in motion) bypass https://smile.amazon.com/Bypass-Navigation-Parking-Harness-GOBGOD/dp/B07T545H2M or are they including the idatalink maestro? It's hard to say if it's a good price without knowing the breakdown

No amp, just the Halo and with Sirius to my knowledge. He emailed me.what Alpine has it listed for which is $1495 and said I needed a Sirius module.

Thanks fo the info. Hopefully tomorrow I will get an itemized list, I just sent him an email asking for one.

The ilx-f309tnd is the plug n play version specifically for the tundra, but man, $500 more just for the plug n play. I'd find out what makes the ilx-f309tnd $500 more than the ilx-f309 (non plug n play) other than a few adapters. .... the non plug n play is listing for about $995 right now.
