I searched- and probably missed it. I have an ‘18 Tundra and would like to remove the front splash guards in the wheel wells.

I pulled all of the hardware to do so, which was fine, but two clips hung me up where the plastic is held to the outboard edge of the bumper end. Other than those two points, I had the thing free.

I am going to add color to the bumper ends, so I need to get those points loose. And I don’t want to break anything!

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah- those are the ones. I will try pulling toward the vehicle center with some oomph and see if that works.

Are these clips available at a good hardware department or FLAPS, or are they strictly a Toyota part?

    Thanks for the input!

Sorry, I didn't read the OP well. The clips that I cut are the ones that are NOT near the edges. Those "push" type clips are readily available on Amazon. I do not believe the ones you're talking about are available at a hardware store. Thanks @NewImprovedRon for your superior reading comprehension.

    Lost track after #1.
If you have a wide, flat body panel tool or something similar, you can use that to put in between the clip and panel to slide it out. Don't pry it or you'll snap it.

The push clips can be removed with a small screwdriver. Pop the center out and it pulls right out.

I just did this yesterday and those splash guards were a PITA. I pulled all the hardware and the push clip near the engine to make sure it was loose. I pulled the entire splash guard down and towards the engine while putting pressure on the clips with a pry tool. Take your time, it will come out.
When you put them back on, put the clips on the fender first and then insert the splash guard in reverse.

Wish I had read this thread first. Those metal clips that fasten the liner to the bumper are a PITA and I broke mine. There is a long plastic piece behind the liner that the bolts go into that seem like were part of the clips. Very confused now and don’t as the screws have nothing to go into behind the clips. I may need to take it to a body shop to get their advice unless someone here knows what I am talking about and can help?
