Possibly. Positive terminal is way too close to the truck body, wrong group battery for your truck. If your hold down isn't tight...direct short to ground, same as putting a big wrench across the posts.

You need one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0ARG3...al&sb-ci-m=limitedTimeDeal&sb-ci-a=B01M0ARG3X

Thanks for your response. These batteries are the group batteries that work with the genesis system.

Good thing the Genesis system provides you a spare battery. ;)

Blew the in line fuse? Direct short to the battery? Let us know? Good luck?

You may have cracked something inside the battery, or the high current drain could have damaged a connection. Measure the voltage with the engine off, then measure it when you try to start it. If it measures 12 volts, but drops to near zero when you hit the starter, the battery's damaged. Next, jump start the truck and measure the voltage with the engine running. If it's less than 13 volts, you've damaged the alternator. A short like that can damage both quite easily.
