Whats up guys, I started my dream job about a year ago and now recently became financially able to purchase my dream truck. Well almost, seeing as that I still want to add many things to it.
Which brings me to you guys,

I have searched for days on the internet and this forum for help on purchasing either black badge overlays, or just black badges to replace my chrome ones.

    https://www.sparksparts.com/accesso...-black-overlay-bundle-00016-34860?parent=6898

These seem to be the best option I could find however I don't need the tailgate insert and don't have a 4x4 badge so the overlay will be useless. And adding the limited overlays brings the cost way up.

Anyone have any tips on where to look, who to call, or a link with what I'm looking for?

    Thanks in advance.

Through my research it seemed that plastidip looks tacky and not the best option?

And thanks! happy to be here

If done right, not tacky. Plenty of people have done it. Of course black emblems would be better, but for $10 or less a can you can cover up all badges.

I mean honestly my brother in law did it to his land cruiser and it looked a ok. Give it a whirl. Easy to peel off if you end up not liking it.

I called my dealership, the kit of overlays was $150. I asked about the Limited overlays and they said they had a couple there they would throw in at no charge so I did it. Overlays look great, and I don't see them coming off anytime soon, fit was very good and it took 5 minutes to install..

I got some off eBay that were labeled as Southeast Toyota one and i knew they weren’t, but after arriving the only difference was negligible in size of the badges.

I messaged them and said they weren’t as advertised and we bartered on the refund amount. Ended up paying $20 for all badges.

I did take off there adhesive and use 3m press on emblem adhesive though.
