Anyone painted the gen 3 TRD offroad wheels a matte dark bronze similar to the SCS color?

Posts pics please if you have... Along with paint color used.

    Thanks

I plasti dipped mine a color called brass monkey. Then wanted a more bronze or gold look to them so I went and added some gold pearl and gold metalizer dip on top of that. I don't mind the gold, I think I liked the brass monkey color better though but would like something in between the two, a true dark bronze.

I like that color alot. I bet you could get them painted or powder coated that color. Maybe even a set of vinyl overlays to covered the machines faces to test itout, the vinyl can last years on the wheel faces, Bronze and black would look good.

Just painted my OEM stock alloys. Went with Rustoleums Metallic Carbon Mist. Its a dark gray/bronze colour. Really impressed with how well it sprayed and bonded. When i go to do my winters im planning to use the same paint but a more true bronze colour.

The plastic clear coat was bubbling so i used my Dewalt orbital sander with diablo's 80 grit sand paper to smooth it down to the metal. Then used a wire brush for the nooks and crannies. Quick 600 grit hand sand followed by soap and water wipe down. About 45 minutes for each wheel including the center caps. Did the old deck of cards trick to stop over spray. Hit each rim with 5-6 coats 10 minutes apart.
