3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
We are driving into Eureka Springs area really curvy hilly roads (in the ozark mountains) not going that fast between 35-50 mph and you can feel the transmission down shifting. Ok I guess just feels funny

    Not nearly enough room here!
I you're in touch enough to notice such things, then give your Sequential Shifter a try. That way, your transmission doesn't have to shift needlessly up and down just creating heat with an unlocked Torque Converter.

When I’m driving in the mountains I use the S mode and select either 5 or 4. Keeps the truck out of overdrive and from hunting for gears.

It will do it even more if you hit the tow haul button while in D. It’s actually kind of cool when you’re going downhill, tap the brakes and it will downshift and hold that gear until you touch the throttle. I still use sequential mode most often, especially in the hills.

I know, sometimes transmission clunks the drivetrain while it hunts for whatever gear it wants to be in. Just wonder if that’s going to strain the universal joints and differential and cause them to fail in the future.

"IT" doesn't have to hunt whatever gear it wants to be in, if you choose the gear that's best, by using S Mode. The added heat and wear on the Torque Converter, can be greatly reduced with just a tiny bit of effort.
