Being bitten by a deadly venomous spider and living to tell is a pretty good panty dropping story in itself lol

auugh, damn man, that image gives me the creeps, I hope you heal up fast
I too am not a fan of spiders. Grew up in FL and there are a LOT of various species down there. Here in CO we have the Hobo spider which from what I hear can cause as much damage to us as a brown recluse

Isn't that were the government no longer had the need for Spider-Man and they removed one of his web throwers?

I have a scar kinda like that from punching threw a car window and then the car started moving. It opened up my wrist like like a scalpel. Took 30+ stitches. When I joined the military, I had to explain it wasn't an attempt at taking my own life.

Left to right for attention. Up and down for results. Could have explained it that way too :)

Yikes. I was bitten by one and was able to get help pretty quickly - within 24 hours. I avoided the scarring by packing the wound with nitroglycerin paste.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Wow! My heart goes out to you. We have those spiders as well as poisonous snakes. I'd rather deal with snakes. At least when they bite you, you know it!

Went to the dr today. He de-breeded the wounds(pulled scabs off). Hurt like hell!! Put me on another round of Cephalexin for five more days. He said it looked like it was healing ok. Got to keep covered and clean. I post a pic when I take bandage off. Thanks for the concern.

Why do they pull scabs off? Aren't scabs needed to heal?

Glad to see you're doing better, John. What an ordeal! I'll be at the family farm this weekend south of you near Andalusia. You can bet I'll be extra careful after seeing what happened to you. Prayers for continued healing ...
