We're about to welcome our 2nd child in September so I have to re-work my office room b/c i'll be sharing the space with my baby boy!

I'm about to pull the trigger on this purchase but before I do, I wanted to see if anyone has any feedback either way regarding this particular brand of sit/stand style of desk.

Space is a little tight so i'll be going with the 48" model, running dual monitors and i'd like to get my laptop on some sort of stand as well. The goal is to get everything off the 48" desktop except wireless keyboard and mouse in an effort to save that space.

All-in with taxes and shipping my set-up is right at $600 to my door. I saw that Costco has something similar for less but they're too big for my space. This product also comes with 7-yr warranty:

By boss has one and loves his. It goes up high enough where he's not slouched over the desk. I've tried the varidesk ones but they are too low for the keyboard and my wrists ended up hurting by the end of the day so I ditched it to another coworker.

I've had several folks tell me they do NOT like the Varidesk and had that same feedback about having some hand/wrist pain.

Yeah, thanks for the tip but for some reason, i have not had good feedback on those so far. I've never used myself but for some reason ppl seem to have some discomfort when they use that. Good that it's working for you. and thanks

Our company bought about 10 of them the vera-desk, their price is about $400. After a few months nobody uses them.

I have a one of those adjustable desk for standing, my heels went numb within a week so I now use it as a monitor stand... I sit in a drafting chair about 10 feet away at a high-top table, my heels remain numb more than 2 years later.

Have used and bought the varidesk one posted here, the 36" model, they're pretty sturdy and convenient to use. Enjoyed it and see the value/benefits of it.

If you have space available, it's worth it. I'd suggest an ergonomic keyboard to go along with it and a good mouse pad, then you're all set.

Previously had a very similar one to the one you posted in an executive office, you'll have to get creative to hide the wires and make sure any extension cord looks good (if this is an issue). Heads up on the length of the cables for your monitors, I didn't think of it at first so I couldn't raise the desk as high as I wanted to originally (it's silly, easy fix though, you can buy longer wires online.)

We have a few similar desks labeled "Bodybuilt" that seem to be good quality. I have not used one or heard of any issues.

Do yourself a favor and get the Veridesk! I think they are around $400-450 now, but they rock! I am a dispatcher and sit/stand 8 hrs a day, I LOVE my veridesk. I had hip and back problems as I have been doing this for 26 years, the company got me one when I could no longer sit without being in pain. They extend or decline at the squeeze of the handles on either side. I am pretty short, but have another co worker that is 6 feet and he loves it. Also, they are very sturdy and pretty heavy so you dont have to worry about any movement.

It's all about how you do a proper set up. You need to have a floor pad that is for standing, as well as a proper mouse pad set up w/a gel wrist rest and make sure your forearms are at the proper degree/height, etc. You can watch videos on correct posture. This something so many people dont take the time to do or think about.

One of my bosses got the varidesk. He then got a higher chair to sit on when the desk was raised up.

The 'standing pad' I ordered for this arrived 3 days after I set up the stand, unfortunately the damage to my heels was already done.
