Thanks. I wanted to go higher because i was riding with my brothers 7inch lifted tundra on 35's. Felt good cruisin with it. Thats the reason why i decided to go the higher lift. But i do want to have peace of mind when i hit the dirt sometimes. Long drives with the lifted truck was a blast for me lol.

I would go with the 2.5 kings as with the lift, you can’t take full advantage of the 3.0s! I have a 7in BDS Lift and changed out the coilovers and shocks for kings all around! It rides great, and love the adjusters !

You def dont need the 3.0 kings with a bracket lift. You will break the lift components before you reach the potential of the shocks

Thought about this more. The 3.0 kings are for a stock height tundra.

They wont be tall enough with the pro comp lift to eliminate the shock spacers up front. This is a major issue. If you want to be lifted 6 inches, great. No problem, but youlll want a 6 inch taller coilover unit to fit from the lca to the coil bucket. This will perform great

Yep. I feel you should decide if you're more excited about a tall lift... OR off-roading. Can't really have both equally.

If you have to install a spacer to get the height you want, you risk breaking your shocks off-roading (I can show you pics if you want to see). Plus the spacer will adversely affect the ride quality, so you'd be buying top of the line shocks because you like the way they look, but missing the intended benefits.

Yep. I decided to go the tall way.i have called a local shop and he said i can order a customized kings coilover for my lift. Reading alot in the forums. A lot of people said stay away from spacers. So i told the shop that i didnt want the spacer and i told him i go offroad maybe the most is 4x a year.

I have the 6" procomp lift with 2.5 fox coilovers w. rezzies and clickers. I removed the spacers and ordered custom size chocks for the travel. Got rid of the blocks in the back and went to a custom dever pack for a 6' lift as well. Ride is better then any truck I have been in on road and fly thru the desert all the time. I have done most of the Baja 500 course in my truck and had no issues.

Most lifts just use blocks in the rear to achieve the wanted lift. Deaver is a suspension spring company the makes custom springs to replace your stock ones. I had them make mine with a 6" lift. So now, not only do I have lift height, I also have soft suspension. Blocks make a truck ride rough. Same with adding spacers in the front. Get rid of both and order the right components to replace them and you won't regret it. Your lift shop will be able to order a new spring pack for you.

I agree with everything that’s been said already, I would just do the 2.5 kings all around, that’s what I have. 3.0’s are overkill unless you’re constantly hitting the whoops and overheating the 2.5’s which I doubt it. I’ve been speeding through the desert and they ride awesome and never had problems. I wanted to keep my center of gravity low because I love speeding off-road that’s why it’s only lifted in the front like a Trd pro tundra, but I can still do decent rock crawling and able to fit bigger tires no problem. Plus, just getting the shocks front and rear is cheaper than buying a lift kit and custom Kings. You’re more likely to tip over having that high of a lift mixed with whatever kind of off-roading you plan to do.

This thread rocks! OP sounds like your on the right track. I’m about to(hopefully) replace all my spacers and blocks. I have it narrowed to two options full Icon components or a King shock/TC UCA/ Deaver pack.

My problem was the deaver pack wasn’t enough lift to replace the block. That’s where this awesome post comes in. @Duneflyer you mind sharing where you got it? Are you running shackles too?

Also you may want to think about UCA’s. For the DB lift you can go Icon billet with delta joint or TC with Heim upgrade. Sucks they are both the more expensive UCA but seem to be the best bet.

I agree with getting rid of the blocks!! I have coach builder +3 shackles and a Icon RXT leaf pack! The ride is a lot better, but alsoit helps with payload in the bed!

They were ordered from Deaver thru my local shop It took about 5 or 6 weeks to have them made, if I remember correctly. Since you mentioned the UCAs.. I also have the ICON UCAs on my truck.

Awesome thanks. Did you go billet w/ delta joint? After comparing all their options that seems to be the one with the most adjustability.

I can’t see pictures thanks to work WiFi but I’ll check them out when I get home.

Damn it just when I think I have it figured out here comes option 3. King w Icon UCA.

To be honest I don’t know if I would benefit from clickers. That’s a spendy option. How often do you adjust them?

I probably go offroad a lil more then you will. I use them pretty much every time I go to Baja. I run my clickers at the softest setting for on road, then 2 clicks for speedy offroad. They are pricey to add, for sure. If you are sure you only go a couple times a year, leave them off and use the money for deavers

Oh I’m sure you would go way more then me now. I sold my quads so no need to go to the dunes(for now). Realistically will most likely be 90% on road. Maybe a bit of towing in the future. But none for now unless doing stuff at the house. This is why I have been leaning towards all Icon. If I do it on Black Friday then I basically get the RXT pack for free(after money saved on shocks,UCA,leaf pack). Then would just need CB shackles.

Honestly I love the adjusters. When I’m hauling or towing a heavy load, I set them to max firmness in the back! And in the front like half way! Having the ability to adjust the front helps with body roll around corners! And then for wheeling! Having the ablity to adjust how firm the shocks are allows you to not bottom out so easily and soak up all the bumps!

don't expect to get more ground clearance with a pro comp 6" lift kit than a 3/1 Mid travel setup. I would just stick to a mid travel setup with Kings, UCA and Deavers/shackles. MCM has good options too with ADS shocks.
