I ended up using VLEDS interior lights including the footwell LED strip (very cool btw). No issues to report. A bitch to put back the deflector shield though on the map lights

I don't know how you got those to work, they wouldn't stay popped in on my vanity mirror clips because the LED ends are twice the size of the factory bulbs. Even when I held them in, I couldn't get the lens cover back on, it wouldn't go all the way on because of the LED thickness.
    I'm returning mine.
The other interior bulbs I got from them are all installed and work great.

I got a flat pliers and just kinked the ends a tad for the vanity lights to stay in place.

I thought about doing that, but I was worried about breaking them. I ordered the ones from vleds, they should be here tomorrow.
On another note, I ordered an extra 74 bulb for my glove box. I finally tore that thing apart today to get the bulb out, and it's some weird connector attached to the bulb that plugs into the connector. Guess I'm not changing that one out. :(

That's crazy wrong. The vanity LEDs I got from VLEDs are exactly the same size/shape as the OEM bulbs, just with LED inside.

Yea, I ordered those from VLED's after I returned the ones pictured. The new ones worked fine.

Found a video online. They wrapped packing tape around the map bulbs and just wiggled. Left the aluminum reflectors in.

I followed this (took the 7.5a fuse out first) and haven't had any problems.

Very smart...remove fuse first, then use some tape...I saw a video from one of the LED suppliers where he used a plastic trim tool, so that is what I used. Sure wished I had pulled the fuse out first though. Didn't realize how the reflectors and bulbs' connector wiring was so close.

Do you still get good light spread without the reflectors in the front map lights?
I had a tough time getting the halogen bulbs out with the reflectors in place. They more or less fell out in the process and now I can't seem to get them back in place. It looks like I'd have to take the entire outer tan trim piece off in order to get the reflector back in. I don't have the motivation to pull the entire thing just for those. I'm somewhat bummed but I'm hoping I still get light spread without the reflectors.
Does anyone else have any experience with the reflectors being out?
I got these bulbs off of Amazon for the dome and map lights. Everything is functioning properly.

Answered my own question. Plenty of light without the reflectors.

No street lights.. doors are closed and the windows are tinted pretty good. Can’t complain about the light output.
