Easter Weekend 2016 - Sedona, AZ

Schnebly Hill Vista Overlook - 3/25/16
After a late departure from Tucson, we finally arrived at the exit for Schnebly Hill Road off I-17 around 2200. By about 2330, the full moon was shining bright, RTT was set, little buddy heater was goin, and the Fiancée and I were looking out the window trying to grasp the amazing view we'd wake up to in the morning!






Once morning arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas peaking out the window of the RTT. Despite the bitter cold breeze, we could not have asked for a better view!









The mirror thing was totally not planned either!


Whatever it takes to sleep flat right?

Easter Sunday Broken Arrow Trail - 3/27/16
As much as I wanted to go back out and find another spot to camp, we caved and got ourselves a hotel room. I really couldn't complain about a shower , but we certainly had a beautiful Easter morning view with the sound of Oak Creek running.


What's a trip to Sedona without Broken Arrow!? Of course the only thing I wanted to do when we planned this weekend trip was to test Tron out on Broken Arrow. I thought it'd be fun to replicate some old pictures too

The fiancée took the wheel for the more difficult areas, which I just felt better off spotting. It was a win/win since she's getting really confident in wheeling and I'm getting better with my spotting and learning how to maneuver this beast through obstacles! ....sorry I couldn't take pics at the same time tho...

Now confident as can be driving TRON! This was the end of our awesome weekend in Sedona, wish I could make the big Tundra event in April but you'll definitely see us at the Overland Expo in May!

You weren't just at Utah in August by any chance were you? I passed a couple with the same white TRD pro and RTT as the set up you've got.
I was in a Metallic grey one and we had a good chuckle coming across one another

That is one hell of a trip. Those were some awesome trails and pictures. Really like you tent set up. Really great looking trip

 

I think it would be great if a bunch of us could get together and do some of these trips.
