Order 6 ohm/50W resistors and the appropriate LEDs. Try the front LEDs without resistors. If you don't get hyperflash with LEDs in the front, then try LEDs in the rear turn signals. For the rear LEDs, you'll probably need to add a 6 ohm resistor behind each tail light housing. Screw them to the metal behind the housings. This video shows you how to install the resistors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4HlVYkceNo&t=515s

I did Front blinkers and backup lights on my 18 and I did not need resistors.

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
I have a 2018 Limited and I did the backup lights and the front blinkers, no resistors needed. I also did the cargo lights and most of the interior lights.

Just make sure you get the correct base (CK or Standard) for the backup lights. The first ones I got were these:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NPIYDWU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They worked fine for a while (and I think they'd be fine for 14-17 trucks), but they ended up blowing a fuse and the fuse was for the same circuit as the neutral safety switch. The truck didn't shift right and I had all sorts of warnings that the PCS and other safety sense features weren't working. Toyota tried to blame it on the OBDII connection for my iDataLink Maestro unit for the radio and wouldn't touch it. Luckily I was able to research it and discover it was just a fuse.

I replaced the reverse bulbs with these last July, and they've been working great:

Thanx for the info. I think I'll switch mine out to the ones you suggested. $16 is worth not having future issues.

Just revisited this thread, been 1 year or thereabouts. Went VLED's tritons for front turns and lower cost for rear turns, brake and back up. Resistors on all 4 corners, wired in back with t-taps on hot side. There has been no doubt with others knowing my intent, turning, stopping or backing up. 2018 CM with LED in front. Money well spent. Hyper flash without resistors and none after.

So these resistors don't work with the v6 bulbs on our trucks? It looks like they are only up to 2.25A not a full 3 (although that's stated on the separate part page). I was looking at their full PnP with the adapter:

Go to VLEDS.com...I learned the hard way (don’t recommend Headlight Revolution!). Their shipping and customer service is waaaay slow. Nice videos though.

Trying to add the JDM 1260 Ambers to the front and have a few questions.
Similar to @Pudge, I'm in a '14 TSS OR, with '19 Pro LED HL. I think he's correct that the 14 - 17 yr models w/ 18+ LEDs need resistors, while the 18+ yr models do not.

Before adding resistors, I had a couple questions for @BlueBottle and @NewImprovedRon
I read on a Lexus forum where people have had the dealer to turn up the number of blinks from 2-3 to 7-8, apparently by using Techstream to adjust the BCM/ECU. Which...doubling the flash count would seem to me like not just a hyper-flash, but would increase the load and decrease the bulb life?

With this in mind, theoretically, could I use Techstream to turn down the number of blinks, such that the LEDs would work without resistors??

If not, @Pudge; Do you have a link for the resistors you used?

    See fine print
I honestly don’t know if changing the blink times will fix the issue. The proper way to fix it is by adding resistors. I know it’s expensive but if you want to do it the right way you should go w vled since they have pnp resistors w their v6 lights. Just my opinion.

My led blinkers from Vleds required no resistors on the oem led headlights.

Did the JDM ASTAR 1260’s to my 19 Limited, I would have never guessed that the factory ones were so dim, the led bulbs were about 10 times brighter.

    I’d definitely recommend this upgrade.

14 months and still going strong. No issues, bulbs are still bright enough to scare a cat out of a tree.

aloha all, new member here. recently installed the VLED v6 triton switchbacks on my 2015 and was wondering if anyone had advice on how to install the tap for the dim wire harness? I got everything else installed and it's working perfect... but the white LED is brighter than my headlights at night haha

Installed the JDM Astar this weekend. 2019 with LED headlights, plug and play. Here’s a picture of the physical size of these things as I was surprised by how big they are.

Titanium tritium vial holder for my keychain. Holds six small vials of tritium gas which is what’s used on Trijicon night sights for your pistol/rifle. The one for the Tundra has a similar blue like the dash lights. I have one for my Audi as well but I put in three blue and three red.
So when it’s bright out it looks like a weird piece of metal but when there zero or minimal light my keys can be found easily.

Thanks. The photo makes them seems brighter than they are, has a nice subtle glow at night. Wife was annoyed when I told her the prices, I think once said and done the titanium holder with the tritium was $130 each

How long are the tubes good for? I’d assume the same half life as trijicons or w/e sights. Which is usually 10 years.
