Well good no one's hurt, even if they make terrible decisions buying a truck. Do we see a future Tundra owner.

That's that "military" grade aluminum. Whatever the f*** that is. 8 years and I never saw that grade on any of the spec sheets that came into the shop and I ran most of the jobs including some for military.

@TRDZ28, that "Military Grade" ford claims is BS! 6061 grade aluminum is all it is. Throw in some technical words, say mil specs and military grade and that's Ford marketing  Blah Blah Blah

I once burned a hole in my seat cover with my cigar, but this guy really went all out. (We can joke because he's ok)

    Lost track after #1.
Considering that the military goes with the lowest bidder on a contract, I've never thought that announcing you're buying cheap-as-hell Chinese aluminum was a good marketing ploy.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Ford's fan-boiz won't give it a second thought, facts mean very little, when much of what one knows, is what they assume.

Well, to be fair, if a Tundra burned down to the frame, it would be totaled as well. It's not like you're going to rebuild the truck around a burnt, warped steel husk. So whether there are remains or not are sort of irrelevant. But I guess there is something amusing about a truck "melting". Almost like it's emasculating the truck.

I don't think the point was to say it was totalled. But to point out the fact that another newer f150 has cought on fire

Oh. That's funny. I wasn't aware there was an issue with F150's going up in flames.

The issue is not whether your truck is worth anything after a fire because it’s totaled no matter what. My issue with the Ford is that there is obviously less time to get out of the vehicle if it catches on fire. They don’t call it a firewall for nothing. Every second counts after an accident and the vehicle catches on fire. Sounds like there is little time to escape before it melts down to the frame. No thanks
