Its going to be a $429 ar...Got a stripped lower, ordered a PSA freedom rifle kit, for $429 with free shipping. That will take a couple weeks to get here.

Now to get a couple more lowers bought before the election.

Thinking about a 18in SPR and either a 300 blackout or 6.5 creedmoore build.

Sounds like one hell of a good time! I'd think an 18" 6.5 would make a lot more sense, since the 300 BLK is designed for closer than 200 yard type of shooting.

When I hunt, not very often any more, its in a heavy wooded area with a few open fields no more 150-200 yard openings.

The 18in spr would be 5.56

Ah I missed that part in the OP. Gonna go 16" or 14.5" for the 300/6.5 I'm guessing?

I'm building one too. I order a complete assembled PSA lower, I couldn't pass up the deal of it, $179 with a lot of magpul stuff on it. And have some awesome deals on assembled uppers too. I didn't wanna build it that way but it's my first one so I just want it for cheap to get one for now and use it as a learning experience. I'm hoping around $500. I'll probably do a BCM bolt carrier group but everything else will be PSA most likely.

Parts for the 16in build will be here next week and I get my bonus check next week, and graduate from LDP class...

Then on Thursday I get my prints done at the sheriffs office, having two sets done...
Pictures will be next week also'
Submitted a online request for 2- form 1s to be sent to me...
Friday will be the build for the PSA freedom rifle kit with 16in upper...

When I get my stamp in I am doing a 12.5in SBR so hopefully by spring I will have that in

I'm starting to get into this whole building an AR thing. I just picked up a complete AR, but plan to change quite a bit around on my old complete AR. Once I get a few more things for the new one, I will be looking for parts to update the old one. I'll be starting with a stripped flat top upper receiver, a low profile gas block, and FF handguards. I'm pretty excited about it.

I'd look at doing the sbr for the .300blk w/ a 9-11" barrel and the can. Giving you about 15"-16" over all.
Subsonic ammo = perfect home defense rifle (and a hell of a fun hog hunter running super sonic stuff).
Most of us aren't grabbing ear-pro when things go bump in the night but all of us will wish we did if you're unfortunate enough to have to squeeze one off in the middle of the night in your hallway/living room. Even with "just a 5.56"
